great game to bring back old times
My husband played this game as a kid and glad they brought it back. Very great game, fun for all and sturdy for the little fingers of the house.

Great retro game.
I remember the old one when I was younger, and remembered it was fun. This one doesn't seem like as good of quality as the old one, but it's just as fun. Brings back fun memories. It's a good game for drinking also, if you're looking for a quick game. I played with 2 players, and we had 1 game go about an hour; and another go for a couple hours.

Sturdy unwobbly tables wanted
The good, a fun game that will get your competitive spirit going and harkens back to the originalThe not so good, print quality of the spaces is lacking, making it hard to define spaces even for the young eyed players.the multi-part vacuumform island means more often than not your marbles end up stuck in a crease vs cascading down the paths to squish your opponents. The slightest nudge to the table will send marbles careening everywhere as their perches are precariously shallow so you're going to be resetting the game a lot.

Does NOT work with expansions
This game is NOT The Curse of Vulkar, it's scaled down, simplified edition Race to Adventure. All the expansions that say "Requires Curse of Vulkar" don't actually work with this game because of rules changes and because the expansion boards don't fit with the scaled down island. You can technically make your own adjustments to work with the expansions, but it's not the same.If you plan on just having the base game with a bit of nostalgia, this version is fine for the price, but the materials are extremely cheap.

Craptacular
This is poorly made even by today’s standards. The game board is confusing and the marbles and pieces fall over when even the slightest bump occurs. It is nowhere near the quality of the older version from the 80s. It is also confusing for kids under 8 to play and boring for kids older than 8. Do yourself a favor and skip this. The most infuriating part would be the fact that it doesn’t pack away neatly either.

Not as awesome as the original
Still a fun game and brings back memories. Like how when you barely bump the board or the table ALL the marbles roll off and the entire board needs to be reset. I can’t believe this wasn’t something that was fixed since the first edition. Still fun just be very careful!

Different game play than the original
A friend of mine has the original and we had a great time playing on night, so I decided to buy this remake to play with my family. I knew the quality of construction was in line with todays standards (cheap and flimsy), but I didn't realize that they changed the way the game is played so much.In the original version you move your player by rolling a die and you gain action cards by landing on locations. You can then hold the action cards to do various things in the game which makes the game strategic and exciting. In the new game you draw a card for your turn, and you get one of like 5 different cards that include both how many spaces you can move and the action to be preformed. It is still a pretty fun game, but pales in comparison of the original.
