This has been great for him! I make copies of each page and stick it between the dry erase board and my 3 year old writes out the letters and can erase them and do it again. He can write and spell his own name "NOAH". He is such a smart boy, very patient and determined. I liked this idea so much I bought this book and the same dry erase for my 4 year old nephew, but he can only sit for so long before he gets bored and on to something else. I highly recommend this for toddlers to prepare them for preschool/kindergarden. I like when we are watching a movie and my son will grab his dry erase board and start copying letters. It makes me happy! He can pick up a pen and paper and write Noah. One day he was playing outside and he said mommmy look, I wrote my name...and he wrote his name in the dirt! It was precious! =) Thanks to this alphabet book, he can write pretty good! Review: AlphaTales Practice Pages - I love this book! It does a fantastic job of guiding students to form the alphabet letters correctly. It also keeps students engaged by requiring them to pick out the target letter among other letters that look similar, and students also have to fill-in-the-blanks and draw a picture of something that begins with the target letter. Each letter practice page refers to the featured animal in the AlphaTales story. I have found so much success in using this book that I have stopped using the practice pages that came with our reading series. My students are more engaged, and their performance has improved. I would definitely recommend this book to all kindergarten teachers, even if you don't own any of the AlphaTales books.

Kindergarten Age HOMESCHOOL GOLD!
This is a fantastic resource for homeschooling parents/ grandparents! I enjoy the paper orientation, the monochrome images, simple storylines and the amount of space allotted to work in. The ‘draw your own’ box is a fun game to play at the end of the assignment. I cannot recommend this highly enough! My child is five years old and this was perfect for his level. Not too difficult, not without a challenge!

practice makes perfect...er..kind of...
I bought this to start getting my 4 year old son ready for kindergarten because the teachers told me he should be able to recognize lowercase letters. He is still working on his fine motor skills and has difficulty writing the letters independently though he can trace them somewhat okay. Is it me or are all 4 year olds supposed to be able to know the entire alphabet in lowercase and uppercase.

Favorite for teaching letters!
Perfect for my preschooler! We homeschool and he looks forward to this everyday while my older child does her independent work. The pages are easy to reproduce for extra practice and the books that go along with it (highly recommend those as well!) have very fun and engaging stories. It's so easy to add extra learning opportunities with these as well. I've used many different letter formation practice workbooks and this one is by far my favorite!

Perfect practice for preschoolers!
There are two pages for each letter. Children can trace both capitol and lower-case letters, then practice making the shapes themselves. They identify the letters when jumbled with similar letters and complete alliterated sentences. It's fantastic for helping with letter formation, recognition and phonetic sounds. My daughter is three. These worksheets have been a wonderful help to her and fun, too! She loves playing "school". The best part is the free copying! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This work book is really great for young children learning letters
This work book is really great for young children learning letters. I got this for my 3 year old and she absolutely loves doing her "homework" every day. She has even been writing letters on her own while coloring, and I attribute it to this book. This is something you can do together with your child, and have fun and learn at the same time. I highly recommend this work book.

Love these pages for my two four year olds
Simple and effective!!! Love these pages for my two four year olds, and six year old. They do one a week to compliment our studies at home, and it is a huge time saver over writing out these exercises by hand. Can't beat the price!

This book is tailored to the American school system as it mentions 'Grades Pre-K-1' We are no longer teaching letter formation like this in Keystage 1 in English schools. We now teach precursive letter formation which this book does not support.

This workbook is ideal for teaching the alphabet because it not only allows space for students to practice writing the letters themselves, but also teaches them how to use them in context of words and sentences. Each section has a fun sentence which uses the featured letter and is supported by a small illustration to explain its meaning. These sentences can be read in class to help with pronunciation and reading comprehension. I often try to make it into a kind of tongue twister game where students have to read the sentences five times fast. This way, reading is introduced to them as a fun activity. At the bottom of each section, three pictures and words are given starting with the featured letter. Cleverly, a fourth space is left blank for students to write their own picture and word beginning with the featured letter. I like this workbook because it provides practice space for writing the letters, helps students to understand the function of capital and lower case letters, and shows them how to apply the letters in real sentences and words. It's a very well-rounded, entertaining introduction to the English alphabet.
