Children's Bible in 365 Stories

Grew up on this. Bought for my daughters. The illustrations are powerful and attention grabbing.

It tells the story, and then tells where it is found in the bible. I have given these to people to read a story in this book, and then read the story in the real Bible, and a new person will know what is going on. However I do think the Bible is easy to understand anyway without it, but for someone who knows nothing about the Bible it's very helpful to know the basic stories. When I was 19, I picked up an illustrated children's Bible, and then would look at the reference and read it in the real bible. Now I'm 73, and the Bible is still precious to me after reading it for 50 years. Especially in John 6 where Jesus says he that believes in me has everlasting life.

Love this it’s a gift item for everyone. The pages are with images as you connect with the stories. Reduce the price so I can buy another for myself.

Our children and 7 & 9 so we have outgrown the younger version of the Bible that consist mostly of pictures and a few words. I feel like this is a good transition Bible to prepare for reading the actual Bible. The vocabulary used is advanced but the context clues make it easy for them to understand the meaning. So glad we bought it!

Great book

For the most part I really like this Bible. It is much more thorough than the last Children's Bible we had and it does a good job of keeping each chapter the same length. It takes each Biblical account and makes it into a story for kids. For most of them I really enjoy this, but there are several that I think go further than they should. We can infer what people were thinking when these events happened, but I think the author infers too much for some of the stories.

I got it for my 27yr old daughter. I love the way the stories are written and how simple it is. Love the illustrations too! I would get one for me!😀

This is a great bedtime story book for kids but you will need to read it to them until they can read it themselves. But what a great way to tell the story of what the Bible is and what it tells us about people that have been affected by God's presence in their lives, and, what the Bible story is all about. After all, it is a single story from Genesis to Revelation comprised of many individual stories within that single story of salvation. Many parents, that may have not read the whole Bible through, may find this a revelation to them as to what really is the greatest story ever told! They and their children will learn so much more and can help teach the truth and clarity of each story they read. What fun that can be! You can ask questions of your kids and they can ask questions about the story you just read to them. Great learning tool. Have fun and enjoy being able to teach your children about God's love for all people and His grace He has shown us from the very beginning of time.

Amazing writing style, so some for children to understand and comprehend. I recommend it for every home for their children

I’m atheist and I bought this to read with my 7 yo son. My son attends a local non-faith school where they learn about religions, and this approach present Christianity as one religion among many, covering Christianity beyond Christmas in very little detail. This is problematic because not only is Christianity the State religion in the UK it is so much a part of the culture - you cannot hope to understand British history without a full understanding of Western Christianity, just as you cannot underestimate the impact the King James Bible had on English Literature and the turns of phrase many native Brits still use to this day. For this reason I bought this book to read with my son to start building his understanding of the Bible stories, characters and teachings. It is a very lovely book with each story set to a page or two with just enough illustrations to assist the text without distraction from it. As anyone who has actually read the Bible will know, there is much death, destruction and rape etc in the Old Testament. This book presents outlines of the stories with the worst of the gore and horror removed so it is appropriate for young readers. Highly recommend.

Even though it's a Children's Bible, I love to go through it ,myself every now and then. The stories are very maturely told and the illustrations are a rare treat to the eye! I believe that illustrations help in arresting the attention of the child and in keeping them engrossed in reading and wanting to move through the pages over and again.5 stars to the publisher, story writer and illustrator... This book deserves the pride of place in your study/library or prayer room. Every Christian child needs a book like this to introduce him to the bible convincingly. As a parent, I'm very very happy with the contents and quality of the book.
