Smooth, Beginner‑Friendly Soldering Project
This was a straightforward and enjoyable build, perfect for a quick soldering session without any surprises. The board layout is clean, the pads take solder well, and the component count is low enough that even a beginner can move through it confidently. Everything fit as it should, and the finished module worked immediately once powered up. It’s a satisfying little project for sharpening technique or warming up before tackling something more complex. A solid pick for easy practice and a reliable result.

Works first try, very good experience
I bought four of these for a learn-to-solder class and today I assembled one of the kits. After assembly it worked, first try! I give this maximum rating, like if there were 10 stars instead of five it would be all 10 stars and the reasons for this are about how the kit and instructions (it included instructions!!! In English!!!!) are arranged. All of the similar parts like resistors are grouped together, so all of the resistors of the same value are on the same tape. Same thing with the transistors, they are all TO-92 packaging, but the temperature sensor itself is kept separate. All component locations are clearly marked on the printed circuit board and polarities are marked when appropriate. They got it right. Everything, from the orderly instructions with pictures, component placement is logical and not too close together, the silk screening is accurate and clear, I do not know what else they could have done to make this an overwhelmingly positive experience!

Good kit. Easy to assemble in two hours
This kit works fine. It has two alarms: one for over temp. and one for under temp. These are easy to set. Bright display. As usual, the English instructions are some what humorous, but easy to figure out what they mean. The kit came with a few extra parts, but better that than too few. Display is in degrees Celsius. Works with a 5 volt USB connection and comes with a cable. I like it. Only disappointment is that the links to additional information don't work. I'd like to know how to use the four terminals labeled +, -, R, T.

Nice kit, well-made PCB
The PCB is single-sided but with plated through-holes and pads on the top of the board. This is the second time purchasing this item. One will be left mostly "stock", the second will be used as a test bed to add functions. First is adding a Fahrenheit option to the display, as this is only a code change. Next is swapping out the .364" display for a .56" display. Later, adding a battery-backed up RTC and adding a clock function, in addition to the temperature display. Maybe also adding a light sensor for auto-dimming of the display.

A good kit for beginners with a little experience.
This board was really fun and quick to make. I will start off by saying that this kit is NOT for a first time user. This kit encourages you to be more independent as far as assembly. You are given a part list with a schematic to help you build (there is no picture). You may need to look up some parts to properly identify them if you arent familiar with the values but I think its a good way to begin learning them. Personally i didnt find the schematic helpful but the pcb board was. It had all the parts outlined with values and polarity markings already on it. I like that it included spare resistors. Sometimes they get bent or break during shipping so having a few extra is nice. It works as described just be patient. Use a magnifying glass to check your parts and don't be afraid to reference the product photo I sure did lol.

missing connector and broken socket
I received this package fine everything seemed to be in the package. However when I went to solder in the power connector I noticed it was in the package. Thinking I would deal with that later I continued. after soldering more parts I got to the section where the instructions say to solder in the ic socket. The socket had one pin totally missing and another pin just sitting on top of the socket. the socket itself is not damaged so its not a shipping issue but someone just put a defective socket into the bag. Really what do you want for $8? ive bought lots of these cheap Chinese kits and never had an issue. I don't know if this works or not because with a broken socket I can't use that. I guess I can just solder the chip in. Don't buy from this company they send out defective items.
