One like this what I grew up with. Remember helping mom peel carrots and potatoes with it as a child. Now many decades later I really haven’t found anything that performs better. I have had cheap copies/ knock offs I have been disappointed in. I’ve also have tried other types of peelers and most never seemed to work as easily or as well. Wanted one like this again. But a good one. This is the real deal and peels as expected. Nice and sharp and haven’t seen any rust. Bought another for back up I like it that much. Not the most comfortable using though. It gets the job done…… no frills.

Great quality basic peeler still made in Sweden! Good and comfortable grip, very sharp, nice price, ambidextrous and seems like it will last a long time even with daily use. Highly recommended.

I would have prefered the eye-corer tip to have an edge. it does not. still it is better than the plastic eye-corers on the new style plastic based versions.

The Linden Sweden Original Jonas Vegetable Peeler is old school in all the good ways. It's extremely sharp and peels the hardest surfaced vegetables with ease. It's no frills design, metal handle etc., is quick and easy to clean. This tool is so handy and worth the purchase in our experience.

Best peeler I've ever owned! Very sharp so peels smoothly with light pressure. The shavings are very thin which means less waste & more usable fruit or veg. Well designed with a nice long narrow ergonomic shaped handle. The blade is longer than other similar peelers, swivels smoothly & as mentioned is honed perfectly to easily peel thin strips off fruit or veg. I highly recommend spending the extra for a top quality peeler that makes peeling a breeze, you will recover the extra cost on less wastage & less time peeling.

I got this very recently. It's lightweight and doesn't look like much but incredibly efficient at peeling veggies. I tried it on a tomato just to see if it could peel the thin skin and it actually did. If it stays as sharp after long term use then it's definitely worth it. Be very careful when you wash it, if you run your thumb along the blade it's easy to cut yourself - using an abrasive material would dull the blade so hand wash it but move your thumb lightly across the blade rather than along it.

Nice and sharp, but i find it hard to hold once my hands are wet. A rubbery handle cover would be an asset.
