Love this fire pit
Love this fire pit! It is SMALL. Ornamental, even. However, the open, expanded metal sides allow for 360 radiant heat. You have to cut your wood short, like 12", but no big deal. Easy assembly with semi-chinese directions. I drilled a few 1/2" holes in the pan for drainage. Almost a year old and hasn't rusted yet. It is quite small, but is perfect for my patio: does not take up much space, easy to move, puts out heat as needed, looks fine.

Corona outdoor fireplace
This item was exactly as described. A great gift for the price. Looks great and draws attention. A bit on the small side, but again, that is described thoroughly in the description. The only thing I wish was in the description is that there isn't a large area for wood inside. If you have a supply of half-sized logs this item is definitely for you. I'm still looking for wood that will fit, but it's a great piece even if you aren't burning wood in it.

You get a little more than what you pay for
Paid around $80 for this item. I bought it because the old one we had fell apart. Haven't used it much but here are the key factors i have noticed or experienced Pros: heavy and durable (approx 30 lbs). Seems like once its put together, its hard to break. Top can turn into a grill. I don't know if it's recommended but there was a part that seems like that's what it was made for. Does the job. 360 degree view. My old one was only visible for about 45 degrees. Sliding door so that makes it a little safer if you have a young child. Cons: Feels like the individual parts are poorly made. The screws, bolts, holes and whatnot made it a little more challenging to put together. Once put together the top piece was a little crooked (adjustable, but does not stay in place) Smaller than I anticipated (but that's my fault assuming the dimensions were available when i searched (not factor in my star rating) Overall I would say that it's worth the money. If you buy your items with the formula quality divided by price, then this is a good choice. I would say that there are not many better choices within $20 of this ones value unless you want to sacrifice something this one offers (nicer looking one made of stone breaks faster but looks nicer, bigger one will be even crappier parts etc) If size doesn't matter, you're looking for bang for buck and want to spend under $100 and want a cast iron one, this is a decent choice. If money is not an object or factor for you, i would do a little more digging around. I would give it 3 and a half stars. I would give it 4 if the finished unit looked straight without spending a lot of time adjusting it (to see it tilt by the next time you use it) and would give it 5 if the parts weren't so crappy like so many things made in china. Hope my review helped, tried to be as unbiased as possible. When considering my review, keep in mind I did not have this for a long time. I don't know if it rusts or breaks over time. I'm assuming that the cast iron will make it last but I know that metal rusts. I'm sure if you keep it under a roof when it's raining you wont have any problems you wouldn't with another unit.

GREAT LITTLE DITTY
If you are expecting a HUGE Chiminea, then move on. But if you want a medium sized one that is easy to assemble and good looking then this is the item for you. It took about 10 minutes to put together with two people (and I am not mechanically inclined) and it feels very solid, not flimsy or cheap. It is probably about 30 lbs. I used one half of a Duraflame (fake fire log) in this chiminea the first time I used it and I was glad I did. The burning area is kind of small and if I had used a full log I would have had an inferno! Even with the small log, the flames lept out of the unit a bit so keep it away from anything flammable. Maybe regular wood/sticks would work better I don't know, I have yet to try that. Overall, I am happy with the item because it is a nice convenient size, works well and looks very nice.

Updated 2.5 Years Still Impressed Very Nice
May 28,2013 I wanted to update my review we've had our Chiminea 2.5 years most of that time on front porch uncovered thru all types of weather rain, ice snow and have had NO rusting maybe its becuase my husband drilled a couple small holes in the bottom so any water (rain) could easily drain out if accumulated under grate last summer we added a brick hearth to our covered back porch and set it there .... I will have to post pictures looks very nice !!!! We couldn't be more happy I did read some say fire shoots out the top and sides ... thats proably b/c they used too much wood .... we use a small piece of fire starter under 3 small pieces of wood about the size of body wash or shampoo bottle the fire lasts 1 hour or more as the fire dies down we add 1 stick of wood at a time I do encourage anyone looking for a a med to small size this is it --------------------------------------------------------- Nov 2010 Most chimeneas we looked at were way to big for our porch 8 by 18 feet concrete/cement type with brick pillars, we were looking for something smaller, this one is perfect, we set it infront of a brick pillars it is very attractive we can have a nice little fire and not worry about it lasting too long or over night. We've used the fire starters along with small wooden logs about 10 inch in length and it works great. The door slides completely open for easy access loading wood or removing grate for easy ash cleaning. A small flower towel works great for removing ashes. Oh it comes with a tool to open door, or move hot logs around. Dont miss out on this one we love ours. This chimenea is great for smaller porches and decks its attractive, strudy, easy assemble, and all parts fit correctly. It took about 30 minutes to assemble.
