Great Streaming Option
My cable service used to provide the Dish channel lineup for TVs that had the Dish box. They also provided a subset of local and select cable channels for the TVs without a Dish box. They discontinued the Dish service and the content for non-Dish TVs. Every TV had to have an Android TV streaming box. Adding additional Android TV boxes for the previously non-Dish TVs was cost prohibitive. I have Roku on two other TVs, I decided to go with Roku for all the TVs in the house (including the TVs with Android TV boxes). Both services (Roku and Android TV) can play SiriusXM. I find the quality of music from the Roku device to be far superior to the Android TV boxes. The installation was simple and the streaming was flawless, both for video and audio.

Love my Roku!!
I love this Roku Stick!! I wish I would have bought this years ago. I look forward to using it everyday! I have, been using my laptop connected to my TV via an HDMI cable...to watch movies, TV shows, etc. But, that was putting unnecessary wear & tear on my laptop...just to watch streaming video. This will extend the life of my laptop, as I now have Roku!! Don't worry if you don't have enough HDMI inputs on your TV....you can buy an HDMI splitter/A-B switch on Amazon for around $12. I had to do that, & it works great. My TV only has 2 HDMI inputs. Picture & Audio quality are excellent...& seem to better than when I was using my laptop. I downloaded the Roku App to my Android phone....& it's great! The main advantage for me, is I can plug my WIRED headphones into my phone & listen to movies, music, etc...that way, & it sounds excellent. The interface looks like the Roku remote control. I can also plug my phone into my Bluetooth speaker (aux IN)...& listen to content that way too. The remote control on the Roku App on my phone, works very well. So happy with this purchase!! You also get tons of free movies, TV shows, etc...included for free; the Roku channel is great. You can subscribe to many different apps as well. I subscribed to "Howdy"...for only $2.99 a month, & you get great movies...without any commercials at all. Not bad at all. The only cons are: it will occasionally stop in the middle of a TV Show, if you haven't shown any "activity" in awhile. I think this is only happening on Peacock, so I'll look into that further. The other con, is the tag they have on the remote control. I have no idea why they have a tag...I've never seen a remote control with a tag on it before now. It's not real bad, but the tag does make contact with your hand occasionally. Hopefully they will stop using a tag. They're are other ways of "branding" a product...like a simple logo, etc. Other than these 2 cons...I highly recommend buying this.

Streaming Stick vs Roku Express
We had the Roku Express (bought at Walmart) and weren't very pleased with it. Every time it would update, it would turn itself on while we were watching regular channels...yes, we have cable, too. The volueme didn't work as we have a sound bar hooked up to the tv as well. Setting up the new Roku Streaming Stick was SUPER easy as all we did was plug it in to the tv and ran thru the set up prosedures with ease. It found our sound bar and the volume worked. The downloads were super fast and the vdieo quality was second to none as the picture was sharper, super crisp, and wonderful on the eyes. No problems like we had when we were using the Express. Definately 5 stars!!!

The best streaming device you can buy
I have tried several other streaming devices and Roku is the best. First, it supports almost every app out there. Second, the picture and voice quality is great. Third, it is very stable and very rarely crashes. Fourth, the user interface is simple and can be used without needing to look at the remote. Finally, you can’t beat the price of $20 for a 4K device.

Be patient, it will work....and well.
It was a little more than expected to set up and had to use the expertise (trial and error) help from my daughter. However, we did get there. After some time discovering the magic words to call up what I was looking for, it does work very well. I did not realize I had signed up for a $5.99 a month charge and do not yet know how long a period that is for. More later when I find out what triggered that. But I like it and it is fairly easy to use. We have an almost smart TV, but not the smartest TV.

Reasonable price. Easy to install.
Easy to install for an elderly woman like me! Everything worked just fine. I had it up and going in like 20 seconds. Absolutely love it!. Controls are easy to use. Stick was easy to plug in. I recommend it to anyone who's considering the streaming device.

Hands down best device to revive an older TV
I don’t write reviews frequently, but when I played around with this device, I had to praise it for how amazing and well thought it out everything about it is. Easy setup, compatible with all streaming services, that’s the stuff that everyone else wrote about. But I wanna tell you about the little details that makes this such a great experience. First of all, using a QR code (no app) to quickly switch to your phone for typing anything is nothing short of genius. Being able to copy paste passwords when logging into streaming services is way better than trying to type a 20 character alphanumeric password on a TV keyboard. Another hidden gem is the headphone mode on the mobile Roku app. It means you can watch shows on your Roku device while it plays the audio through the headphones that are connected to your phone. That means I don’t have to keep switching my Bluetooth headphones between my phone and my TVs. It means I can pause the TV and watch something on my phone seamlessly. It’s a convenience I never knew I needed so bad. We have an eight-year-old “smart“ TV that has been getting slower and more ad-filled day by day. This little device breathed new life into the TV. There are tons of streaming devices out there, and I’ve used a bunch of them, but none of them surprised me with so many well-thought-out details all throughout its software. Even if I were to buy a brand new TV, I would immediately slap a Roku stick on it. Can’t believe it’s only around $30. Kudos to the developers!!
