This is a GREAT High Protein Drink but BE CAREFUL IF YOU USE SCISSORS TO CUT THE PLASTIC WRAP!
The product quality is excellent but the packaging was terrible. I order this product frequently & normally cut the plastic wrap Very Carefully with scissors. This time, 6 cans were somehow punctured with a tiny hole in each one. I think it must have been my scissors But MAYBE NOT. The metal cans all had a single, tiny hole and the cardboard box was wet w liquid. My hand & scissors were very gentle, the metal is super thin the punctures were near the bottoms of the cans. Be VERY CAREFUL UNWRAPPING THE PLASTIC, RECOMNEND CUT IT A CROSS THE TOP ONLY. ADDITION AFTER I RECEIVED MESSAGE FROM SELLER offering to refund my purchase. I accepted because I ended up trashing so many of the cans from this purchase. Their product is so good. I am a grateful customer to this company who obviously cares. Edited by Customer on 01/12/25, This Seller has been very good about comforting me in my disappointment and standing behind their words and product. They did reimburse me for my prir purchase where the cans were punctured when I opened the plastic wrap. I am not sure if I punctured them or if it happened some other way. I continue to buy this product. It is an excellent high protein drink. I love the flavors, the gentle energy from what I believe is a healthy product and how it helps me continue on an effective weight loss plan. I have not experienced any more can punctures!

Best Tasting Protein Latte Drink
Love this drink. High protein, lactose free, latte flavor with caffeine plus low sugar.

Great protein drink
Texture is thinner than other ones I’ve tried but I honestly like it more! It tastes clean and has good ingredients. Wish it was a little less expensive but I love the flavors and still think it’s worth it.

High protein, high caffeine, low calorie, reasonable price
Delicious, relatively filling yet considerably low-calorie, slight overly fake sweetener pitfall common for such low-cal, high-protein drinks. The caffeine content is no joke! One can = 3 cups of coffee and you can feel it! Personally I mix half a can with half a bottle of Premier Cafe Latte protein shake as it dodges the fake sugar taste trap but also has considerably more calories and much thicker consistency. Mixed together though—perfection! A little pricey but worth it IMO

Beware - NOT 1g net carbs!
Unfortunately I discovered that the dark chocolate flavor is actually 13g net carbs, while the other flavors are net 2g (regular chocolate) and net 1g (vanilla), respectively. This is NOT what is advertised on the front of the can. So if you’re following a keto/low carb diet, take note of this difference. Looking at the ingredients, the dark and regular chocolate look to have basically the same compositions but the regular chocolate has “less than 2%” cocoa, etc. and that is probably the difference (refined cocoa power does have carbs). It tastes lovely and great for a quick high protein way to stave off hunger or quick breakfast, but I like the regular chocolate flavor just as much so that will be my go-to from now on.

Just the right sweetness, mix with cold coffee and pour over ice for a guilt free iced latte
Most protein shakes are too sweet and too thick for my liking. These are good straight out of the can, though my favorite way to drink them is to mix with cold coffee and pour them over crushed ice in a glass (yes, even the mocha flavored) for a guilt free iced latte. The shake is very filling and I often start my day with one for breakfast and follow up with a light lunch several hours later. Of course I prefer to find Slat Milk on sale, who doesn’t love a bargain? but honestly they’re a good value at full price as well, it easily replaces a meal and I can’t think of any meal I can buy or prepare for $3.

LOVE
I LOVE Slate protein shakes. The macros can’t be beat. Iv tried the vanilla, chocolate and dark chocolate. They are all delicious but dark chocolate takes the cake for me. It taste good in its own but Iv been adding in so peppermint oil from Wholefoods and putting it in a cute glass. A million times better that protein powder!

I really wanted to like this.
I’m gutted, just received this today. I was so excited for it because I thought I’d found my perfect protein shake: sweetened with monk fruit instead of sucralose, cute can, French vanilla flavor, amazing reviews, good protein ratio. I was literally about to sign up for subscribe & save because I thought for sure, this is it. Got the French vanilla so I could add an espresso shot to it as needed, or have it as a snack at night. I am a milk/vanilla fan, that is always my favorite flavor of anything. This seemed to be so promising. Company seems great by all accounts. Was already eyeing the strawberry… I chilled it as instructed for the better part of the day, then poured it out into a cup filled with ice to enjoy. I couldn’t even wait until the morning to try it! Took the first sip, and.. the aftertaste of the sweetener hit me like a truck. Let it be known: I don’t really mind monk fruit or any of the natural sweeteners at all, in moderation. Sure, stevia and monk fruit don’t taste like sugar, but they’re okay. The problem here is she sheer quantity used. I guess they were trying to make this thing taste REALLY sweet… so they added a bunch of the sweetener, to the point where you can’t ignore it like usual with the alternative sweeteners if you just add a little. It’s not just cloying; it’s downright impossible to ignore, and it makes you wince. I tried valiantly to slurp it down thinking it would get better. No. It tastes SO artificial that if I hadn’t read the label I would think it’s sucralose for sure. For those that can tolerate the Quest Iced Coffees, this tastes very similar. I could never finish one of those either, despite really trying. To be honest, I would’ve been ok with this being much less sweet and just creamy. It doesn’t need to taste like it’s trying so hard. I’m so gutted. The worst part is, there’s no way to get a smaller quantity to try it out, or none that I can see. And you can’t return it because it’s a food item. I have 23 more of these lined up in my fridge, looking annoyingly beautiful, but I know I won’t be able to drink them. I still feel that sweetener in my cheekbones. It’s the kind that just makes you grimace. I’ll be going back to my Ghost Whey and adding coffee to that. Yes, they use natural sugar; but truthfully, a little added sugar is ok, so long as it’s not an absurd amount. The taste certainly is much more pleasant, and that is ultimately what keeps people coming back. I’m realizing that I’d much rather the taste of half a teaspoon of natural sugar than an ultra-sweet, cloyingly horrible drink. I wish I could return them, as I did really want to love them. Giving two stars because they arrived fresh and in wonderful shape, but I can’t drink them. I wanted to love them and this company SO bad.
