Again may not be a yamah too of the line But this plays well enough my son sits first chair or the consensus equivalent among the students ( lol they tell on each other you know) Again lots of push back at first bc the unknown brand and online order But it tuned great and stayed that way :) Plus son#2 practices almost daily of his own volition bc I was able to provide exactly what he wanted to play in his favourite colour :) And he is proud to play :) Tadah! Thank you company for an affordable instrument a parent can give her child for less than a year of rental and really motivate him to love playing No joke this is sooooo Huge Music is magical / works better than anything for focus. Mood. Self esteem . And confidence ...kid # 4 ‘proof of pudding’

This is an economical beginner flute (EFL-1Pu). That being said, this flute knocks it out of the ball park! The build is great, the mechanics didn't need any adjustments and the sound is really good. Yes, it doesn't sound as good as my $1000 Yamaha Student flute, but for what it cost, it's outstanding! The case alone is amazing, with enough room and protection for the flute and all of the extras. I had to buy one separately for my Yamaha so I could carry all the cleaning extras with the flute, and this one comes with a case that does all that as part of the package! I saw a review for the EFL-1 on The Flute Channel on YouTube and decided to give it a try (also bought the Eastar EPC-2s Piccolo because of her review). So glad I did. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to try out learning a flute but didn't have a lot of money to spend! And... it's Purple!! What's not to love?!?
