Product Description Starring Vic Mignogna. Review AWARD WINNER! This products had very good educational content. It accurately reflected the test-taking strategies my daughter learned in third grade last year. It even used the same terminology.--Review for iParenting Media Award What a interesting concept. As a tragic test-taker myself, I know the anxiety it can bring. What a great way to get the point across to the kids at a young but vital age. Here in Texas they are taking some major tests at this age, and this would help calm their nerves and help them carry some strategies with them.--Carolina Pendleton --iParenting Media AwardTest-taking skills are increasingly important as high-stakes testing becomes the norm. This program teaches students solid test-taking strategies in the subject area of reading. Marko the Pencil is enthusiastic, optimistic, and chock full of testing tips. The strategies are solid and would be useful in test-taking. --School Library Journal

I am sure my students will love it
I purchased this DVD to help my students learning English as a Foreign Language improve their reading comprehension skills in a fun way. I haven't tried it yet but I am sure they will love it. After watching it, I plan on using it with my Senior B and C classes. I think Senior D students will find the stories rather simple and thus boring. However, there are some tricky parts and questions and the vocabulary is quite demanding so I think it will best appeal to Senior C and competent Senior B students.

Reading Comprehension
I bought this for my son and actually got a few tips for myself. The pencil is corney and the animation is a bit weird, but I am old school. My son learned a lot and I am very happy for that- corney pencil and all.

Good information for those who learn better visually
Has good information on how to answer reading comprehension questions. I got this for my 1st grader and it helped him understand the concept better because it has good visual ques for the kids.

Fun way to prep for test, kinda cheesy
I used this for my middle schoolers around test-prep time. It's a good refresher of test taking skills. It is geared toward elementary school aged children, but I think that even 3rd graders would find it cheesy. I just warn my kids ahead of time that it is very silly but has good information. One of them told me that because it was "so lame" he actually remembered parts of it because they made fun of it. Whatever works!

Rock and Lear you are appreciated!!!
Fun way to learn. Children get tired of having to sit in and learn in a traditional way. Rock and Learn dvd's make learning relaxing and fun. More like play time. Not stressful and they can rewind and replay as many times as they want. Wonderful!!!
