I use L'oreal hair color and it works best with their developer. I love this version from them, it is creamy, easy to pour, mixes well with color, makes color mixture easy to apply especially around hairline and roots, doesn't have an overwhelming smell, and consistently provides excellent results. The smaller bottle is easy to store, shipped safely, and was a good price. I can't always find this in the 20 so I'm glad to find it readily available at a good price on Amazon.
