About six months ago my husband and I began a carnivore diet where we only eat meat. (And I mean ONLY meat - no vegetables, no fruits - ie, no sugar or carbs.) This product was recommended to use for cooking and adding flavor. And we used it for both. What I like: Adds a lot of flavor and moisture to meat What I don't like: Hard as a rock and difficult to get out of the container When we first started the carnivore diet, I used this tallow all the time. My husband would pre-make a bunch of hamburgers that we'd put in the freezer. When I wanted one, I'd pull it out, put some tallow on top, stick in the microwave for 60 seconds each side, and then eat a delicious, juicy burger. Although it's difficult to get out of the container, that's just the nature of the beast. As far as flavor, this is an excellent product. The price seems a little high, but I still say it's worth it.

I bought this exclusively for a brisket but soon found out I needed this tallow for everything.

Perfect flavor for frying up anything on the stovetop, or for greasing briskets through a hold. Smells fantastic and clearly high quality tallow, would purchase again and use daily!

The tallow tastes so good. It has a strong umami taste. Has made my cooking so much easier and storable for much longer than my butter. Package came semi leaking and no acctual seal.

I use this tallow to make whipped lotion for extreme dry hands. I have always had great success with this.

Do not buy this product it is extremely small and extremely expensive I've seen other products that are much better value. I haven't even opened it to try it yet because I was so disappointed when I got it it's a freaking rip-off. It also apparently is not eligible for a return which in my opinion is BS. I'm going to have to call Amazon and figure out how they want to fix this problem. All the other comments that said it's way too small they are correct.

I found it to have a strange aftertaste. I've had purchased a different brand before and it was excellent. I use a tablespoon and melted it and drizzled on a rib steak and it ruined the flavor of my steak. Is there additives in it now? Super disappointed.
