Air Fryer Fabulous!
I bought a set to use primarily in air fryer. I tried making some at different time settings to see how it would turn out. All were cooked in air fryer at 400 degrees. I lightly sprayed olive oil on both sides of corn tortillas before loading into taco shaper. 4 minutes- super crispy, broke as I was transferring to a plate. 3 minutes- crispy, and did not break with moderate size fillings (not overloaded). I like this setting best. 2 minutes- a softer shell, not crispy. Good if you are not into the crunch. Make sure you have tongs handy to get hot metal taco shapers out of air fryer. Overall, a great product!!

It works great with homemade tortillas
I love that you can set these in just an inch or so of hot oil and by flipping them. From side to side, you can create a crispy taco shell. That is well shaped and can hold lots of taco stuffing like lettuce. And cilantro, and onions and salsa. And whatever else you put in your taco! They are pretty enough that you can just serve the tacos in the holders.

Perfect for air fryer
I like crispy taco shells. Sue me. I grew up in Southern California and that's just how we did things. But busting out a pan of oil for taco shells is a stupid mess. I was doubtful these would work but figured it would be worth a try. YASSSSS!!!! First, spray tortillas with oil and the mold too before you put in fryer. I tried them at various cook times and here's what found: 7: brown and way too burnt 5: better but falls apart when you bite into them 4: better but still pretty close to five 3: just slightly soft enough to hold together but with a satisfying crunch 2: softer but not soggy, a slight crunch that's really enjoyable The molds are great. I'll probably buy another set so I can make more at one time but I'm completely satisfied with my purchase. Well made and do what I wanted.

Tried and not so happy
So I love crispy tacos - my favorite. I always want to try to make them myself because the boxed shells are just not great. I have one of the tong type taco shapers and it is ok. It would probably be better in a deep fryer but I basically fry the tortilla then put it in the tongs to form the shell. Meh - not bad, not great by any means. I saw these and wanted to try them. Their price is pretty high I thought but if it makes good shells and is easy to use, great! I just wasn't too impressed (actually returned the item). I did not care for the outcome from the air fryer so I went to the frying pan. Seemed to work ok but it's really tough to tell how well done they are plus, they tend to stick a bit pulling them out. I decided there has to be a better way so I sent them back. I did not go 1 star because they did not deserve the worst score but just couldn't go higher than a 3.

Crispy taco shells
I prefer to bake our taco shells and don't like to use oil at all but you do have to use some or they stick. I have yet to master these perfectly but I think once I do I will love them. They tend to stick, I haven't quite gotten the right oil ratio down. They are very well made.

Exactly as advertised
Worked perfectly.... Buy the corn tortillas from the store, keep em fresh until use, in deep fryer for 50 seconds each comes out perfectly... Way better than those tiny store bought ready to eat shells, plus the opening is wider so you can stuff more toppings in...

Get two sets to whip out a bunch of crispy taco shells quickly
These are the simplest shaper molds that I've used. I bought a different style set of shapers a few years back and they were awful. Once fried, it was impossible to remove the crispy shells from the mold without the shells braking. It was because the shaper had a wire design that allowed the unfried tortillas to sag between the wires causing them to be misshapen. These shapers are solid enough in form to keep the corn tortillas completely smooth so removal is a snap. I do suggest two sets (four individual shapers) if you want to quickly fry shells without risking a nasty burn. While two shells are frying, the previously hot shapers are cooling so that they can have fresh tortillas added to them without burning your fingers. While two shells are frying, I'm loading up the now cooled shapers with two more tortillas. It is easy to fry up a dozen shells in about 20 minutes. They handle the dishwasher just as well as they handle hot oil. I just toss them onto the top rack. No rusted areas yet and they've mean through several washing cycles over the time that I've owned them.

Good idea. Doesn’t work.
I tried these frying shells in a pan. The corn tortillas stick to the shaper, and the shapers are almost impossible to separate since they are both slick with oil and 300 degrees plus. Throwing them in the trash.
