Buy one for yourself if you actually ride.
Works great for adjusting the belt deflection of my final drive belt on my 2000 Softail Standard. It is a simple tool to use, tool works great, and I would suggest buying one of these if you don't have one. It takes the guess work out of adjusting your belt tension. Ask yourself this question- Why pay a stealership a fortune to adjust your final drive belt tension when you can do it yourself the same way that they do it with a quality tool ? If you care about your bike, want to save yourself time, money, guessing, you do your own maintenance, and you want longer belt life you should buy one of these. If you willingly want to support the stealership buying their promotional trash, lies, and deception of their customers you have no class and shouldn't buy one of these because it is not for those people. This is what they check your belt with and its no different than a oem tool. I have one of the overpriced oem tool I purchased many years ago that is identical to this tool. This tool is for people who work on their own bikes, who actually ride them a lot, don't have time for nonsense. So If you proudly own a bike you keep ready to ride 24 hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred sixty five days out of the year, and actually read this review you understand where I am coming from and have earned your raisin pie.

Great quality tool for a great price
I compared this to my H-D branded belt tool and they are identical and equally accurate. If you have a belt driven bike- you NEED one of these to get the proper tension.

It’s a HD belt tool….and it works.
Decent quality tool. I use it as basically a “final check”… Because I know how to just use my hand to check a HD belt. If you treat your belt right it’ll treat you in kind.
