Revell Corvette C7.R Plastic Model Kit

Good

This is my first model kit since the 90's so I have a lot to learn about many of the new products available, luckily this kit was very straightforward and easy to assemble so it added no frustration to the fact that I am way behind the times, old and can't see like I could as a much younger lady. lol I used Tamiya TS-47 Chrome Yellow and applied the decals without a clear overcoat as I was trying to make it thru my first build without a total disaster happening. The only real fitment gripes I had was the door skin alignment and the extremely tight fit of the front tires in their wheel wells. However, considering how well everything else went together I'm really not complaining. Another thing I really liked was how easy the decals were to work with, especially considering there are a lot of them! I am currently working on 2 Tamiya rally car models and the decals in those kits have been nothing but trouble (terribly thick, crack without any help). The chassis on this kit is basically akin to a full length skid plate and there is no suspension detail... 4 rotors is the only thing there but takes nothing from the final display quality. If you like to tackle a little detail masking and lots of decals then this is a great choice. Sadly the extra's I scratchbuilt for the interior are nearly impossible to see thru the windows but I know they're there. :) Happy Modeling

Great model kit. Revel has some good kits out there and this is one. I don't have a picture with the body on the car but I changed my display to show the car as a finished product with body in the car and not the way it's shown here. I like it both ways kind of wish I had two kits one to show as a final product and one to show as a exploded view. My only weird problem was getting the doors to fit right. I think i painted the body to thick because the tolerances are tight. Keep the paint thin so tolerances are not compromised. But it turned out great. Directions were clean. The brake details are just ok not bad. Tamiya models have the brake detail down better even at this same price point. Totally happy and I'll keep buying Revel brands as well as Tamiya.

Excellent training toy.

This has been a life time hobby of mine, and the value for me is the enjoyment of putting the cars together. I have several corvettes and I'm excited to add this Corvette to my collection. For me the price is worth the end results.

Model is going to be a lot of fun building. It will be a great challenge. There is alot of good detail in the parts. That's what I like.This is a Level 4 model kit. Absolutely for a very, very expereinced model builder. Instructions are very thourogh. I love the curves of this Corvette. I wish there was a way to post pictures of our completed models on the Web site. I would love to post my completed models on Amazon in their proper section.I love the TWO day shipping !!! I like this one its not what I remembered from back in the day both good and bad, I remember taking the time to sand off all the extra plastic from the kit. this one had barely any witch is a good thing. I noticed there was less parts not saying any was missing I just remember more parts but again back in the day when i was using Revell, Testers, Monogram, sometimes they also used to have a level number on the box I miss that such as level one would be snap together and up to level 5 or 10 I forgot how high the numbers went up and it was based off your skill level. The only thing I didn't like about this buy was the two things 1 was the paper work or the directions it would have been nice to see the color chart in color because some of the colors I had no idea what it looked like so I couldn't match it with something else and they only show the car from certain sides so didn't know where the color went in the precise spot. also if they could raise the numbers on the lot numbers when going to pull your part because the older you get the glasses you will be needing i even tried lightly high lighting with different color to see them better.

Great kit to build. I went with another fruit color instead of lemon yellow I used cranberry rust oleum 2x. Like it so much I bought another one.
