Back in 2020, I had three R22 units that had low refrigerant. One was so low it was icing up. The service tech said R22 is EXPENSIVE so I could try recharging them with leak stop, but that would cost thousands of dollars and might not work. On the other hand, I could buy all new systems. I decided to fix them myself with some help from a friend in the industry. I was able to buy the R22. I then researched the leak stop products and found that one of the things I needed to make sure and do is add a moisture remover before adding the leak stop. I add the moisture remove and the leak stop in all three of my systems and have not had any problems since. I highly recommend this product.

This is the second batch of Refrigerant Leak Sealers that I've used. I was losing a lot of freon from 2 systems. The initial treatments stopped the leaks almost completely. After a couple of years, one system started to leak a little. Another treatment stopped that as well. Now it's several years later and another treatment has boths systems working great and leak-free. The HVAC company charges $100-$150 per treatment for a very similar product. My builder-grade AC systems are almost 20 years old. Ours is the only home in our development that hasn't had to replace the AC systems. You do need a a basic manifold gauge set or injection kit, but it's simple to use.

3 of the 6 I ordered had defective core depressors!!! But, once I got through the Amazon " this item in not returnable" and contacted the seller, the customer service is great! Contacted me the same day and made it right. I will continue to purchase these. I am an ac pro and use these quite a bit. The stopleak works well on small leaks and the dye is great for the bigger leaks. Great product!
