These work great to test your jewelry but be careful how you stiore it because it can become messy after a few uses

I've used this acid mainly on silver and it's good enough. Sometimes it takes a while for the red color to appear. The testing stones are pretty bad though. They do work at least.

Testing gold on the stone seem to work. Silver, however, didn’t produce a color change with the indicator on the stone. I have lots of scrap silver laying around which the indicator color change seem to work just fine when I put the indicator directly on the metal, but I don’t know how you would check a piece of jewelry. No response from the seller.

I have so many pieces of gold I needed something to tell me what the carat was, when you don't have hallmarks this is the way to go, works perfectly!
