Sick Day

Checked this out as a library book at first (on a whim), and my 4-year-old daughter LOVED it. While the 'plot' is a big strange to adults, I think it really connects with kids and more importantly, allows early readers to be able to READ AN ENTIRE BOOK by themselves! This is the first book she has actually read, and requests it on a regular basis. I appreciate the author's nice, clear, basic sentences and also the straightforward font choice for the words, which helps with their ease of reading.

It’s a wonderful story- uses the same character as in several other books so the illustrations are like old friends to my granddaughters.

Love this book. First book my child could read all by himself.
