This is a very handy little laser measuring tool. It’s genuinely pocket-sized, quick to use, and gives consistent, accurate readings for room dimensions, internal measurements and general workshop or DIY jobs. Accuracy has been spot on for my needs when checked against a tape measure, and the digital readout makes single-person measuring far easier than wrestling with a traditional tape. USB-C charging and good battery life make it practical rather than gimmicky. It’s also beautifully designed — compact, minimalist and well finished — and feels like a thoughtfully made product rather than a cheap gadget. Although it’s clearly aimed at everyday indoor use rather than heavy industrial work, I’ve been using it in an industrial environment and it’s proven perfectly capable for quick, accurate measurements. It’s extremely convenient to keep in a pocket and grab when needed.

Wow, its tiny, brilliant device which we recently used all morning when checking out the suitability of a number of car boots to see if they could accommodate our motorised wheelchair. We even had comments on how easy it was to use compared to old school tape measures. The best feature for me is its one handed use, leaving the other hand for writing in you happen to be on your own. I just wish we'd got one sooner and I love how the Mi Home integration is super easy to setup. The only thing missing is a storage case, luckily I had the one pictured which used to have a go pro in it available and its a perfect size for this device.

It is very basic but it does what it says. It's within +-2mm accuracy, small an compact. It's stylish and I like the hole with orange accent in it. I tried the phone app and it can be handy, but not for me. I didn't give 5 stars because you cannot change the measuring from top/bottom on the device, only on phone. Otherwise I like it.

5 stars for design, 1 star for functionality. It’s the first Hoto product that I’m absolutely disappointed. How can a measuring tool not have a live measurement function? You actually have to press the button to get the measurement. Imagine trying to measure a distance where to put something. Without a live feed you have to keep constantly pressing the button. “Am there yet? No. Now? No”. Fantastic design but design alone is not worth the price. If you want to measure a room? Fine. You’re working where you need to measure a specific distance - not a chance.

The Android phone software keeps nagging you for access to your phone contacts. It is like very bad spyware. You should be very careful if you dare to install it on your own phone and preferably do not use it and send it back for a refund. Do not allow children or vulnerable adults to use the software let alone the device because it will seriously compromise their online safety. This is one for the police or the ICO to sort out and i am not kidding, the software will persist until it has finally got your personal information and sent it who-knows-where. Probably China i guess. The software is also functionally bad. The Bluetooth scanner will only pick up the device if you set your region to Germany. It does record the device's measurements but the naming and cataloging feature is worse than useless. There is no data export feature so just forget the software and use a pencil and paper instead. Truly awful. You are better off with a simple device that just stores the data rather than relying on your phone. I actually feel violated by this device's software and am not at all happy right now. It is going back to Amazon. I hope they destroy the lot of them or hand them over to the police.

I use this digital measuring device everyday for my job. The battery life is brilliant and lasts weeks. The device pairs with your phone via an app which is extremely easy to use however with the on screen display there is no need for the app. The device is different from the others on the market and my customers always comment how good it looks. The measurements themselves are always accurate. With its small size it’s very easy to carry around and fits inside my trouser/jacket pocket, the screen is clear, bright and easy to read. I have found this to be great value for money and would highly recommend.

Lightweight enough to keep it with me all the time. Battery life is very decent.
