Crucial P5 Plus 1TB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 Gaming SSD, up to 6600MB/s - CT1000P5PSSD8 Solid State Drive

I recently purchased the Crucial P5 Plus 1TB , and I am thoroughly impressed! This SSD has significantly boosted my gaming and overall system performance. The installation was straightforward, and it fits perfectly in my setup. What I appreciate most is its reliability. I've experienced zero issues since installing it, and the load times for games and applications are lightning-fast. For the performance and quality you get, the Crucial P5 Plus is worth every penny. I use this m.2 ssd for my MacBook Pro 15 inch 2015 and it works very well. It’s an upgrade that will make your device feel much more snappy and improves loading times. Keep in mind that in order to get this working you will need an m.2 adapter as these versions of MacBook pros come with a proprietary port. KEEP IN MIND THAT NOT ALL M.2 ssds are supported by these MacBooks but this specific drive is.

The speed is very fast.I tried transferring data from the old ssd to the new ssd without the heatsink attached.Its temperature gradually increases up to 70 degrees Celsius. I removed the old radiator attached to it and it dropped to 53 degrees Celsius.When I copy data from the old drive to the new drive, the maximum speed is 344mb/s. And I copied it back and the old drive had a maximum speed of 360 mb/s. I don't understand why it's a little slower than the old drive. One special thing is that it only has two large horizontal memory chips and one smaller vertical chip.I checked the old data drive and it had 8 memory chips.As far as I know, the more memory chips, the bandwidth increases many times.Next time I choose an SSD I will pay more attention to this.Maybe this is why it is cheaper than other brands.

I couldn't wipe the grin off my face when I saw the results. I wanted to show everyone. I struggled to get the Acronis software (included) to recognize the SSD for the purpose of cloning my HHD before making the SSD the operating C Drive. BUT... I didn't struggle with it alone. Crucial Tech Support was there with possible solutions three times, till the right one was found. I'm cloned, HHD removed, SSD running the show. When I hit the Power switch on my 4 year old Dell Inspiron 17R/5770 for the first time with the new SSD in control, I was blown away. I never expected this kind of speed!! I'm not kidding. I am almost in disbelief. Understand this... within the past 6 months I have upgraded two inexpensive, older Dell desktops with increased memory and Crucial SSDs. The upgrade was simple and flawless. Improvement was obvious, but nothing on the scale of what I'm seeing with my laptop this minute. I felt that I owe it to the company and their tech support to take a few minutes and say thanks via a good review. I believe that my difficulties were the exception, not the rule, but if you possess no patience or perseverance, stick with your old spinning HHD. If you possess a few bucks, a little patience & perseverance and want a ride as good as Disney without $2,000 for a new laptop..... maybe my experience will help you decide. My wife has the same exact laptop. We always upgrade together. Mine was the experimental one for this upgrade (instead of a replacement due to their slower operation) and I'm going back online to order the exact same 8 Gig of additional RAM and 1 TB Crucial SSD. If I have a problem, I have confidence that Tech Support will solve it. I wish the new SSD helped me to type faster.

Added this SSD based on Crucial's recommended match to my 2022 HP Omen 15 gaming laptop. The SSD was an easy install in the HP Omen; removed 8 screws, popped the bottom cover off, unscrewed the cover over the 2nd SSD slot, slide the Crucial 1TB P5 Plus SSD into the slot and reassembled the covers. Powered on the laptop, new SSD was recognized in the disk manager, did a quick format and was in business with an extra 1TB of storage to go with the 500GB that came with the laptop. From start to finish, it took less than 10 minutes. If you need help, like I did, there are numerous YouTube videos showing how to DYI. SSD is working fine as a secondary drive, which I am using to store my games on. No issues, fully recommend this SSD from Crucial.

I bought this for faster storage for my Dell G5 laptop. Very straightforward to install. My only complaint about it is speed. It's not quite as fast as I was expecting. For the price, it is acceptable. Definitely a good upgrade from my original 256gb NVMe that came pre-installed.

Easy to install, included screw is very thoughtful. Had to restart a few times til it was recognized by my PC and able to be set up. Works perfectly. I'm very happy to have the extra storage space.
