Good stuff
No smell. Thickens and texturizes hair well. Good hold but not stiff. Allows you to restyle later with no issues. Works well on fine hair. Finishes dry. Quality product.

Negative reviewers have no idea how to use product
This is hands down the best hair product on the market if you’re into clay. All of the top male fashion influences will recommend prefer to Hanz de Fuko as a gold standard or something they are trying to replicate for cheaper with their own produces they are trying to sell. This stuff is incredible. I leaves your hair soft and non-greasy while proving an incredible holding power that is almost impossible to believe. People leaving negative reviews have zero idea how to use the product or how to care for their hair in general. For those interested, here is how you get best results: 1) get hair thoroughly wet 2) blow dry hair and style it into the general direction and style you plan on keeping before putting any product in (this is an absolute must step, if you skip this, get used to bad hair no matter the product) 3) take a small amount of product into your palm and rub it until your hands and fingers are covered with an invisible, thin film. This is called emulsification, and is a must do step with thick clay’s like Hanz de Fuko. Even thinner product like J Crew requires this. All of the reviews referencing “plaster” and “hard to wash off hands” are user error from people with no idea what they’re doing. Use a small amount of product (a very little goes a very long way if you’ve properly blow dried your hair, and you can easily wash it off after you’ve emulsified it). 4) apply into your hair going all the way down to the roots by running your entire hand and finger tips through the hair 5) apply small amount of hair spray to lock in if needed If you’re not doing all of these steps, don’t waste your money on nice hair products. It’s a YOU problem and not an issue with the product.

A Top-Notch Styling Clay That Delivers Versatile, Long-Lasting Styles!!!
I absolutely love Hanz de Fuko's Claymation! This hair-styling clay has become my go-to styling product for achieving a variety of hairstyles. What I like best about Claymation is its matte finish and incredibly strong hold, allowing me to sculpt my hair just the way I want it. Unlike some styling clays that feel sticky or flaky, Claymation has a smooth, creamy texture that is really pleasant to work with. Claymation spreads smoothly through my hair and has a pleasant texture, but I must say, requires double cleansing to wash out. I've found that applying Claymation to dry hair gives the best, most molded result. The finished style stays put all day long with a long-lasting hold, even in humid weather. This clay really lives up to its name in terms of moldability and staying power. For texture, definition, and a natural matte look, Hanz de Fuko's Claymation is an excellent choice. I'd highly recommend this top-notch styling clay to anyone looking for a long-lasting, workable hold. It has become a staple in my hair routine and never lets me down. Pros: Achieves a variety of hairstyles. Strong hold that lasts all day. Smooth, easy-to-apply texture. Natural matte finish. Suitable for all hair types. Cons: Requires double cleansing to remove completely. On the more expensive side. Overall Rating: 4.9 out of 5 stars Claymation earns high marks for its ability to achieve versatile styles with a flexible yet enduring hold. The smooth texture also makes Claymation a pleasure to apply. While pricier than other products in this category, Claymation is superior in terms of quality, performance and shelf life. The bottom line - Hanz de Fuko’s Claymation is a top-notch styling clay well worth the investment for stylish, natural hold.

Great Product – Natural Finish, Easy to Restyle
I’ve been using Hanz de Fuko Claymation for a while now, and it’s one of the best hair clays I’ve tried. It gives a strong hold with a very natural matte finish—nothing too shiny or greasy. What I really like is how it doesn’t damage or dry out my hair over time, unlike other styling products I’ve used in the past. Another great feature is that it’s easy to reactivate with just a bit of water. You don’t have to reapply more product throughout the day—just wet your hands slightly and restyle, which is super convenient. The only downside is the price. For the amount you get, it does feel a little expensive. But overall, it delivers on its promises and the quality is definitely there.

Great versital product
I've tried many products over the years but I always come back to this one. It has no scent when dry which is great for working in healthcare. Tip: If you want scent add a few sprays of your favorite cologne and mix thorough the whole jar. It doesn't change the texture notible and now it has a scent you know a love without being over powering

Greasy feel
Good hold for coarse hair, but it feels greasy. You feel like you gotta wash it off before bed.

DO NOT BUY
This stuff is terrible. It reminded me of plaster that’s about to dry—rock solid at first, then when you finally try to warm it up in your hands, it just gets stickier and gummier. I couldn’t even spread it properly in my palms, let alone get it into my hair. And when I did attempt to apply it, it literally yanked a few hairs out. Definitely not the strong hold I was expecting, either. And don’t even get me started on washing it off. I had to scrub my hands 4 or 5 times with hot water, soap, and even body wash. It was greasy, oily, and water just rolled right off. I ended up using an old towel just to get most of it off. I couldn’t wait to take a full shower just to feel clean again. Once I got it into my hair, it took forever to spread evenly. It didn’t warm up right, left patches, and felt heavy. Then, washing it out of my hair was a whole thing—I had to double shampoo just to get back to normal. For reference, I have medium-thick, mostly straight hair. I’ve tried a lot of hair products over the years, and I hate saying this, but this one was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I’ve used other stuff from this brand that wasn’t bad at all, so I’m not trying to trash them completely. But this product just completely missed the mark. Maybe I got a bad jar, who knows—but I’m not taking that chance again. Bottom line: definitely not worth $25. I won’t be reordering.

Solid stuff
I have a Norwood 2 hairline. Even before some loss around the temples it was very hard for me to get my hair right because of it's type. I was making things worse because I was using the wrong products, apparently. This clay immediately solved my issues and instead of spending tons of time trying to get my hair looking decent, this thing does it in like 30 seconds. It was so easy to style my hair and it's the best it's looked. You don't need much. Don't over apply.
