Unsafe to Ues
I tested it by heating. Failed the test and turned into a plactic thing. I used it for months only in dissoliving in water. I noticed even after months there were undissolved particled. I wanted to use after heating it so that it become soluble in water but I was surprised. I further investigated by uploading the image of this product after heating. This product does not mention any other ingredient. Below is the Chat GPT analysis: What “pure phikari” should look and behave like If the product is genuinely one of the traditional Indian compounds such as: • Phitkari (Fitkari / Alum / Potassium Aluminum Sulfate) → It should crystallize, be clear or white, and when heated, dehydrate and become powdery, not plastic or stretchy. → True alum does not melt into a gel or film — it instead gives off water and leaves a dry porous mass (called “burnt alum” or sphatika bhasma). So if yours turned rubbery or glossy, it’s not pure alum. ⸻ ⚗️ 2. What this plastic-like behavior means A “stretchy, translucent film” implies one or more of: • The presence of synthetic resin or polymer (like polyethylene glycol, gum resins, or industrial binders). • Adulteration with glue, gelatin, or starches that melt and form a film when heated. • Moisture or additives (e.g., glycerin, waxes) that cause melting and re-solidification. Such additives are not part of authentic mineral preparations, especially if intended for ingestion or topical medicinal use. ⸻ ⚠️ 3. Quality & Safety Implications • Poor quality / counterfeit risk: The observed behavior is not compatible with natural alum or traditional mineral ash. • Possible contamination: Industrial or polymeric additives could make it unsafe for food, medicinal, or skincare use. • Lack of labeling transparency: Since the packaging lists no other ingredients, this raises concerns about truthfulness of labeling.
