I’ve always used similar peelers, and my old one recently broke. I needed a reliable replacement for peeling vegetables and prepping salads quickly and easily. Right away, it felt comfortable to hold and very easy to use. It peels smoothly without requiring much pressure and works great on everything from carrots to potatoes. I use it almost every day, especially when making salads, and it’s made prep faster and easier. Pros: ~ Sharp and effective ~ Easy to handle ~ Great for vegetables and salads ~ Simple, practical design This is one of those kitchen tools you can’t live without. I’d definitely buy it again — simple, reliable, and a must for everyday cooking.

Very sharp, lightweight but sturdy, and easy to use. The julienne blade is perfect for making the viral Asian carrot salad. Not very easy to clean though. I feel like there’s always going to be tiny bits of carrot stuck in between the interlocking blades.

I recently purchased this apple and vegetable peeler from Amazon. It does the basic job of peeling, but it falls short in a few key areas that I expected for the price. I had been using the same old fashion peeler for years. Why it took me so long before getting a new one is beyond me. It came with several items to use for various reasons but I've only used the large peeler so far. Its so smooth when peeling, its like cutting butter with a hot knife. Am I so impressed because I had used my previous peeler for too long, possibly, but I'm extremely pleased. The little wheel for flipping to a different blade cut is pretty neat and is a handy safety addition. The primary vegetables I peel are sweet potatoes and beets. Beets are easy peasy but the sweet potatos have many odd shapes and this peeler works well navigating with those odd parts. The peelings can get caught behind the blades but a simple shake usually does the trick. Fits nicely in my hand and has soft/firm points where you would rest fingers.

This potato peeler has a comfortable grip especially for my older arthritic hands....

I tried using this to peel carrots and make carrot sticks. It just scraped the carrot and when I used it on the larger teeth the strips got caught under the other blades. I retired my appliance because it was a pain to clean, but this is worse than the machine. The seller has not tried to contact me since the last review.
