Nutrichef - Fondue Maker Electric Melting Pot Cooke (PKFNMK23)

The NutriChef Fondue Pot arrived on a Friday, which was perfect for us— my wife and I don’t eat meat on Fridays, and I’ve loved cheese fondue since spending a year in Geneva when I was in college. The machine was all I could ask for,, too. It heats evenly and the temperature control is quite good, The heating element is separate from the pot, so that when you’re finished, the ñon-stick potjust lifts off to be cleaned, and cleaning is easy. Like most electric fondue pots, this one has a short cord, which is one of those self-defeating safety features. The length of the cord doesn’t change the location of the electrical outlet,so shortening the cord doesn’t lessen the risk of it being tripped over with boiling cheese flying everywhere as a kind of culinary napalm. It simply means the user will have to add an extension cord to be tripped over. As with every fondue pot I’ve purchased over the years, this one comes with a half a dozen fondue forks. Like most fans of fondue, I must have something like 30 of them in the back of the silverware drawer. The closest thing I have to a complaint with this fondue pot is with its name— it’s called a “Countertop Fondue Pot”. Who makes fondue on the counter? That would require diners to take turns standing at the counter to dip their forks. Surely ‘Tabletop Fondue Pot’ would be a better and more accurate name. By any name, this is easily one of the nicest electric fondue pots I’ve owned. Recommended.

This fondue pot was perfect for our Valentine’s Day dinner with the kids, very easy to use and clean up was a breeze. My only negative ( which was 100% my fault) is that the temp does not get hot enough to cook meat in, this was our first time purchasing a fondue pot so I didn’t even think to check for that but for cheese and chocolate it was absolutely perfect! Would highly recommend!!

Overall is fine. My only complaint is that the cable is too short, so you need to use an extension.

Okay. I received this item about an hour ago, unpacked it, washed and pulled up the recipes I found online and started. Pot is great! You do need to watch the temperature and turn it from max back down to min once it hits boiling point. Heats up fast so be ready with your ingredients. Item is a bit smaller than the pictures portray and I’d say this is perfect for two people and not really more. Cleanup was super easy! We did cheese fondue for an appetizer and will do chocolate fondue later this evening. I do wish that you could buy extra bowls so you didn’t have to cleanup between courses. If we were using as a main course too this would be too much work. Overall extremely happy.

Nice little fondue pot for the price. Was able to start our meals off with the cheese dip. We then cleaned it out to do a wine mix to cook our steak and chicken in. It helps having so many utensils to put the food on to cook. Easy to use, easy to clean-good size for two people.

Bought this to reward the kids at Halloween. Didn't know what to expect but WOW this is perfect! I melted the chocolate and cream on the stovetop and pour into the fondue pan. This kept it at the perfect temperature with no hot spots. Clean up was a breeze! The only complaint I could find would be that the cord is pretty short. We could not plug into the wall and then have it at the kitchen table. Had to use the island which worked for us. Can't wait to try a cheese version.

They need to include some basic recipes and instructions for what level to cook chocolate etc on. We had to just do trial and error and the first time had it too high and burned the chocolate. The one thing that's missing is at least a guide because it works best set way lower than you'd expect.

Very Very Bad Product Don’t Buy It will not work after 1st start

I was hesitant at first since there was nothing indicating that this pot works for Chinese fondue (bourgeoisie) since it advertised for cheese and chocolate. So I tried cheese first and it worked great. Didn’t burnt easy to clean. Then I tried the broth and yes it works just as great!!! I’ve had to deal with the oil and gel for years and I’m so happy to have an electric that stays hot and doesn’t burn out. A+++

Was looking to buy a fondue set that was affordable, easy to clean, and can do its job by warming up the cheese/chocolate. This is perfect, have nothing bad to say about it. Worth every penny.

Nice set, it melts the cheese and chocolate and keeps it warm while you are eating it. Definitely recommend.
