Can this item be monogramed?

I don’t think so. The leather might be too thick.

Some reviews mention the belt (strap) is too short to close, have you increased the length of the belt?

The leather strap was long enough. However, in less than a year the brass button that the belt closes on fell off. This is a nice looking bag but I would not purchase another one.
