Great Switcher on Location
Compact and easy to use are the hallmarks of this handy bit of kit from Atomos. I recently used it on a cooking demo video outside the studio and it performed perfectly and didn't take up a lot of precious desk real estate. The price feels right, too. Took minutes to set up and saved hours in the editing bay. I highly recommend this Atomos product.

Great alternative to Atem
If you are already in the ATOMOS ecosystem, this is a no brainer. I’m still learning my way through it, but I like the way it works with my Nikon cameras.

This won’t work at all until Atomos releases new firmware
I’ve had the X Cast in hand for 10 days and it is useless, waiting for Atomos to release new firmware for the Ninja V. I bought the product based on trusting the firmware would come last week as promised. My trust for Atomis is waining. I’ll give them a few more days to make good on this product before returning it outright.

Very good but...
Small and portable video switcher but the feature I would've loved to see is being able to playback videos and load up images directly from the ssd on the Atomos Ninja.

Poised to be great
Do not buy this item until Atomos puts out the proper firmware for the ninja V that will make the CAST functional. As of July 20,2021 - this device does not work and it’s been out for 20 days. Follow my reviews on YouTube - AP35

Aromos siempre funciona bien. Para mixer básico o entrada de cámaras va de lujo. Echo a faltar más personalización en la app. Poder hacer un diseño de realización, por ejemplo.

Supposed to work seamlessly with Ninja V. What a waste of money, I didn't test it as I was still waiting for some other components. Now finally tested it, just wouldn't work with Atomos Ninja V, dud product!!

Very easy to install and get started. Easy to use controls and cheap addition to your Atomos Ninja. Only down side is the max 1080p 60 fps (ninja output) Resolution and frame rate.

No NP f battery connection Otherwise it would be mobile

"Recording of stream in ProRes, Avid DNx and optional in h.265" is not valid, H.265 is not an option at all. According to Atomos support, it is not possible to record in H265 when AtomX Cast is connected to Ninja V. This is more or less a hardware limitation.
