Q: Is this powered by usb wall adapter? thus could be operated with usb battery pack?

I tried using a cheapo power brick (batteries) claiming 5V 2A output. When i turned on the 1014D with no probes attached, it displayed a substantial square-like signal. I immediately turned it off, and did not test further, not wanting to risk damage to the scope from improper power. When using the (correct) wall adapter that came with the product connected to AC, at power on I would see two horizontal lines indicating zero signal, which is correct. The square-like traces suggest that my battery pack is not well enough filtered (maybe there is some pulse-based voltage conversion inside the pack). Perhaps a better quality battery pack would work, maybe someone out there could comment on that. I should add that the 1014D running on its included adapter works great, happy with my purchase.

Q: what is the Operating voltage is it 220/60Hz or not supported

The scope uses a 5 volt wall transformer like the ones for cell phones. so you could just get a 220 volt to 5 volt wall unit.. hope this helps. ps. I'm very happy with this scope. Larry

Q: For the signal gnerator, what is the maximum allowable output current and/or power?

Output voltage is +/- 1.5 V. When shorting out, the voltage drops to ~ +/- 0.5 V

Q: How to calibrate the built-in signal generator?

add another external signal generator to compare signals and watch out for your probe settings X1 x10. you can adjust the probes via set screw. also compare probes (probes could be the fault signal). also you don't want to void the warranty by removing the scope cover.
