This unit replaced its cousin that had the annoying hum (see my other review) and it seems to work perfectly. No hum or other problems. I still can't figure out why there are electronics in these things if all they do is switch channels. But it's a good little unit.

I bought this gadget for the sole purpose of having more than just one audio choice. With that, I hooked up again my tape and CD player and it does the job when switching from one audio source to another.

This switch box works perfect to run two amplifier to two sets of speakers. The switch is solid as is the case. The sound quality appears unaffected by the switch box.

I am sharing a turntable between two systems. A major problem whenever I turned up the volume up high, It sounded like my speaker had blown out. I replaced the RCA cable with a new one going to my McIntosh preamp to the switch. Had the same problem. I eliminated the switch going directly to preamp from turntable and the problem disappeared! Is there anyway I can do salvage my project?

I really really like this item in every way

Works perfectly to connect two pairs of speakers to one amplifier as I'm currently doing, or to connect two amplifiers to one pair of speakers. Banana plug sockets fit, no power required. I am not a golden ears audiophile, but my ears cannot detect any difference between routing through this box or directly connecting. Overall I'm completely satisfied. It should be obvious, but just to be certain, this is an A/B switch. You cannot use both (side) inputs or outputs simultaneously, only the center with one side or the other.
