BGSD Women Whitney Waterproof Down Puffer Coat Small & Large

Update: I decided to try it on again before returning and found that the reason it fits tight is because the waist hits me right at the top of my hip. I'm 5'3", 120 lbs. A petite option probably would have been better proportioned for me.The size guide says the size small fits up to 37.5" hips. I expected that meant that someone with 37.5" hips would have a little room to move since this is a coat and not a pair of pants. My hips measure 38" with jeans on--just measured--and there was no room to move once the coat was zippered. The top was roomy enough, so I don't know if the medium will be too roomy on top--saw some other comments that indicated that it might be. This is going back, but I don't know yet if it will be a return or an exchange. The coat looked really nice otherwise. The only other thing that seemed weird is that the inner vest fits more loosely when zippered than the coat itself when zippered. This means that--even while zippered--it does not fall naturally inside the coat when you zip it up. Instead you have to be sure to tuck it inside yourself to get the zipper past it. Weird design on that part, but otherwise seemed to be well constructed. I liked the soft material to keep out the cold at the wrists and neck. Too bad it doesn't fit.

Just got my jacket delivered today! It's foggy and 60 degrees here in CT so I can't review the warmth of it (we've been having 30-40 degree weather before today) but Ill review fit and quality and style? I am in love with it! It looks and feels like good quality, it's not puffy at all on me. I recently returned a different jacket here on Amazon because the puffiness made me look like a cocoon. Not the case with this jacket and it looks pretty luxurious. I like the gold tone zippers, even though the picture showed silver, since my skin tone pairs better with gold tones. I got the jacket in blue size M. I followed the size chart and I'd say it's true to size? I tried it on with a thick sweater and still had some room throughout. I probably could've gotten a S but my hips are the widest part of my body so I think the M is perfect. I'm 5'3", 126lbs and pear shaped with my hips at 38". The jacket length is not mid thigh for my height (like the pic), it's at knee length but I'm fine with that. The sleeves can go past my wrists and knuckles but the knit cuff keeps them in place at my wrist without being a nuisance. It's not tight around my shoulders/underams, the seams are right at my shoulders which is great but again, I'm petite. And I loooove that the hood is big! I have big naturally curly hair and can never get other jacket hoods over it from how small they are.Update: January 6th 2017: Snowstorm and 29°. This jacket kept me super warm! All I had on underneath was a Gap hoodie, and I did not feel cold at all (of course I had gloves and hat on as well). Once I got in the house looking for something, I was sweating. Will definitely take care of this jacket, so happy with my purchase.

Okay so I love this jacket. My last two jackets were 300 dollar jackets from REI. Sure they were less bulky but I was still cold in wintertime. This jacket helped me get through the coldest winter we've had in years! The only thing I dislike about this jacket are the pockets. If I put my phone on top of my keys in my pocket I have to pull my phone out to reach my keys. I will probably have to alter this myself but honestly it's not even close to a deal breaker to me. I love being warm and I love the little jacket inside. I don't need a scarf, only a hat. I can wear cardigans and it covers it! It's water proof, puffy and warm ♡

I LOVE this coat! I just received it today & it is Perfect! It is well made, has 4 inside pockets. The outside pockets are Perfect depth & size. I Love the inner cuffed sleeves at the wrists that keep extra warm by not letting cold air, or wind in. I Love the inner zip up turtle neck that does the same for the upper chest area. The Zippers are metal & seem very sturdy. The coat is well designed, & Very well made. I wear medium size sweaters so ordered a size L for the coat & it is Perfect on me. It is not bulky at all & shows the slim waist line even with my sweater on underneath it. The hood is stylish. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I will provide an update if my opinion changes with time, but I do not expect it to.

Quedé gratamente sorprendida al recibir esta campera que cumple con todo lo que promete. La relación calidad - precio es perfecta.Pero lo más importante es el abrigo que proporciona, incluso hasta demasiado para el invierno de mi país, (Uruguay) que son pocos los días que soportamos temperaturas bajo cero y no conocemos la nieve. Es especial para llevar un sweater liviano por debajo porque todo el abrigo lo da esta campera. Compré un talle L y me quedó perfecta, mido 1,71 y peso 65 kgs. Tengo brazos largos y tampoco tuve problemas con eso, además de tener puños de lana por debajo del nylon. La capucha es un poco grande pero no me molesta.En definitiva, super contenta con la compra!!

I was a bit uneasy about the quality of this coat because of some of the negative reviews. After opening the package I couldn't understand why anyone would give the coat a bad review. This coat met all my expectations. I waited until the temperature dropped to 27 degrees - with the windchill it felt like 17 and the coat kept me warm while I took my dog on a nice long walk. The hood is a bit large but is adjustable and helped to keep my face warm. I'm 5 ' 7 and weigh 135. I ordered a medium and the coat fit perfectly. The picture shows the coat hitting mid thigh, but to my surprise and delight the coat hit just above the knee which is what I wanted. I would have given this coat 5 starts but it's missing some sort of closure like a button or hook (which I indent to add) to secure the hood around your face if desired.

Great jacket for harsh Canadian winters. Fit is a slightly on the larger side. But works if you plan to layer up below your jacket. Loved the vest which is attached to the jacket. Wished it was detachable though. Got the shipment within 3 days of ordering. The packaging was perfect. Zippers were wrapped for extra protection. Overall a great purchase !
