GREAT Machine!
This is the 5th WEN machine I have purchased and have to say all of them have been great. Customer service is outstanding which is rare these days. I originally purchased the 16" scroll saw which is a great little work horse, but I needed a bigger throat and table, so I purchased this 21". WOW did WEN step up their game with this one. It is so quiet and smooth. Changing the pin less blades is super easy, and I was resisting pin less! My cutting is spot on. I use to own a Hegner (a long time ago) and have to say, they have nothing on this machine. I also LOVE the HUGE table. Hindset is 20/20: I would have bought this instead of the 16"....just saying! It looks badass and cuts like it too! :). From a female wood worker!

Great Saw for the Price
I'm a Dewalt guy but decided to go with the WEN over the Dewalt because of price difference. After opening the box and setting up this was a good decision. This is a well-built scroll saw with all the functions right at your fingertips for ease of operation. I did purchase the foot pedal to go along with this saw and recommend highly.

Best priced parallel arm scroll saw available.
I am replacing my Wen 16” scroll saw with this one. I liked the 16” model but if your doing intricate fret work feeding the bade through a pilot hole is a process. Surprise! This saw is huge in comparison. It won’t fit on a small table. You can order the Dewalt stand or build your own which I did. I’ve been using it for a while now and so far I love it. The pros: easy blade changes. The upper arm lifts up and stays up, unlike others that need the “lifter mechanism”. The table bevel adjustment on mine was perfectly aligned. The vibration was minimal (I can’t compare to the other expensive brands). Table top is coated with a slick smooth surface , not bare metal. I like the fact both side panels open up for complete access to the lower cavity which makes for easy access. Cost is far below other parallel arm saws. Cons: dust collection port is useless because very little dust gets int the lower cavity anyway so there’s nothing to suck out, the blower is a bit week, ok if you aim it strategically, however. Others have posted they can not seem to get enough blade tension. I have not had this problem. I have not yet had to use the maximum blade setting (#5). Vibration has not been a problem at all. It’s very smooth and I never run at max rpm anyway. The complaints I see here I attribute to operator issues, at least with my experience on my saw. One poster did mention having te tighten some screws. I did notice this as well. Not a problem and easy to do on initial set up.

Great saw
Bought this saw after watching Steve Good's review on it. Needed to retire my old Craftsman. I have had it for a couple of weeks and have used it several times. Works great, love the lift arm. The 21 inch table is a great feature. Took it out of the box and there was already a blade installed. Changing the blade is a cinch. Love the doors that opens on both sides making replacing the blade and cleaning up sawdust a breeze. I would suggest getting the dead man switch for it. Great addition. There isn't a light but that's minor as I have two adjustable lights on each side that works just fine. This is a great starter/intermediate saw.

Beefy, solid tool. Accuracy seems good. Very heavy, at the limit of portability.
Seems like a lot of machine for the money, so far. The blade hole is bigger than I would prefer, apparently to allow for a lot of table tilt, but still unnecessarily big even then. Blade capture is fairly simple, and the tensioning mechanism works well with the blades I've tried so far. Table tilt is easy to effect. The dust blower is weak, but adjusts to point at the right direction easily. The included blades (all two both of them) are utterly useless for cutting sheet brass, with teeth far too coarse and far too unsharp. Worked OK in 1/4" plywood, though. Got some aftermarket Swiss fine-tooth blades that cut the brass sheet fine. This is a heavy beast, and you won't want to place it on a flimsy bench, nor move it often. It arrived well packaged and intact, but with a lot of styrofoam to store or stuff a landfill with. 3-prong cord is decent in length, though not sumptuously long. Comes with the required Allen wrenches. The blower is weak, but adjusts to point at the right direction easily. An aspect of design that I don't like is that the underside of the table doesn't make it easy to clamp a gate (not provided) to the table that could guide long straight cuts. Still scratching my head about that.
