The World of Charles Dickens: 1000 Piece Puzzle: A Jigsaw Puzzle With 70 Characters to Find

The picture had bright colours and good definition. An interesting connection with Dickens' stories and the box contained a large sheet with full picture f the jigsaw on one side and a list of characters to look for on the other side.

I am very particular about what I like in a jigsaw. Having greatly enjoyed the Sherlock Holmes puzzle in this series, I eagerly awaited this Dickens jigsaw. I was not disappointed. First, as with the Holmes version, the provision of a full-size picture on a separate page apart from the image on the box, was a considerable benefit. Then the quality of the production of the pieces - sturdy, easy to link and to break-up, - was a second benefit. The images in the puzzle were ingenious and excellent - for example, the roof designs and the chimneys were very alike in some cases except for subtle differences of perspective or colour. As a Dickens obsessive, the pleasure of trying to guess the names of the characters without going to the answers on the back of the separate image page was an added joy. This is a quality puzzle in a quality series: although I am not at all a fan of Jane Austen, I may purchase the World of Jane Austen puzzle for its own sake (or be given it for Christmas?).

We absolutely love doing this puzzle, it’s not the easiest puzzle that we have done, it’s been a challenge, but has been a joy to do. The pieces are sturdy and fit perfectly, and the artwork is excellent and keeps you interested, I also loved the poster which explained who all the characters were. This is a quality jigsaw puzzle from Laurence King and I would highly recommend it.

Quite thin card used compared to some other puzzles. Possible to join wrong pieces together. Very colourful. All pieces present.

I already have a couple of other jigsaws of this series. Also enjoyed doing this one. Always love the poster that comes with it, very helpful. Lovely drawings. Recommend.

Enjoyable jigsaw, part of 'The World of' series all with references to authors. I really like identifying the pictures within the main puzzle and reading all about the author on the back of the accompanying poster. I would recommend this puzzle to all jigsaw fans.

I love these puzzles based on literary classics. They're just complicated enough to keep me busy for a couple/few days & remind me of the pleasure I got from reading the books whose adventures they depict. I've done a couple other literary puzzles, and loved them, but the Shakespeare one, largely because the primary color scheme is beige & repetitive, is a killer. The quality of them all is great. I'm a happy girl, & love passing these on to friends, retirement homes and/or senior centers when I've completed them.

This is a well made puzzle with lots of detail. I enjoyed it but I did have to use the posture a lot.
