Works as described, cats enjoy it
I was a bit worried that this was going to be a waste of money, but I'm very glad I purchased. My cats were a little confused by it for the first few seconds, but then they were very excited and had a blast with it. However, if your cats are fairly skittish, they may be frightened by this. You really do need a non-carpeted surface for this to work well, and that does mean it can be fairly noisy when bouncing around. I definitely recommend turning it off before you go to sleep. It's also best with some slight supervision, just because it can roll under furniture or get kind of stuck by cables on the floor. It does try to free itself, but sometimes it can roll itself into a really weird spot that it's difficult to get out of. It comes with an attachable bell, but it's basically useless. First, the bell is on a little loop that you have to get around a hook that's under the flap in the ball. I have fairly average sized fingers, but it was nearly impossible to get the loop on the hook in such a tight space. Second, the bell hangs out of the flap once attached, so it is just dangling off the side of the ball by a small loop. Maybe not everyone has as problematic cats as I do, but I am certain that after a while mine would have chewed through the string and gotten the bell off, and it's small enough to be a choking hazard. Finally, the bell just messes up the functionality of the ball because it impairs its motion. The toy is still great, just don't use the bell.

Not for every cat
I have four cats. Two are old, 10+ years, they don't care about the toy, just lazily watching it rolling around. The other two are young (~1 year) and active, and they're much more interested. One of them, especially. He's playing with Cheerble like crazy. He carries it around, then leaves it in the middle of the room, hides himself, and waits for the toy to start moving to ambush it :3 It's not a guarantee your cat is going to love the toy. Also, sudden jumps may scare a timid cat (not my barbarians, though). The manual says you can turn this feature off using the 'violet' mode (move only), but I see no difference between it and the 'blue' mode (move and jump). Anyway, the toy works well for my headcrabs so far Edit: A week or something later, and my young cat lost his interest almost completely. Don't buy this ball unless you don't care about the price. The quality is great, it's durable, the battery is fine, but it's not worth the price in the end

My cat loves this toy!
I got this ball about a month ago. Since that time my cat has played with it twice daily and it is still going strong. He plays with it for about 20 minutes at which point he has begin to lose interest. If you are smart you will put the ball away before he loses interest. It can become lost in hidden corners and you have to crawl around on the floor with a flashlight looking for it. Eventually you will discover the ball's favorite hiding spots and the chore becomes easier. It has a nice "help me" feature. It will begin vibrating and making noise when it has been forgotten long enough. This does seem pricey, especially given that there seem to be cheaper versions of what appears to be the same toy. But cheaper is not always better. The battery is enough for the 20 minute play sessions. In between session it is on the charger. This is a great toy to keep a cat busy and to give him some exercise while you sit back and watch the chase.

Could be better
The Cheerble Ball is a fun and interactive toy that can help keep your cat entertained. It is made of durable materials and is easy to clean. However, there are a few drawbacks to the Cheerble Ball. First, it can be a bit noisy when it bounces. Second, the ball doesn't work well on carpets, so it may not be suitable for all house holds. Third, the ball has a very short battery life. I keep it on at night so my cat has something to do, and it's nice that it has a sleep mode if not played with after a few minutes but even with that it will still die in the middle of the night. Overall, the Cheerble Ball is a fun and interactive toy that is perfect for cats who are looking for a durable and easy-to-clean toy. However, there are a few drawbacks to the ball, such as its noise level and battery life. Here are some pros and cons of the Cheerble Ball: Pros: Durable materials Easy to clean Cons: Noisy when it bounces Doesn't work well on carpet/rugs Very short battery life Overall, I would give the Cheerble Ball a 3 out of 5 stars. It is a fun and interactive toy, but it does have some drawbacks.
