My 10 y/o boy, Baxter, has cerebellar hypoplasia. It makes it harder for him to get around (he wobbles, can't jump, etc) which doesn't bother him, but it particularly makes using the littler box and cleaning himself very difficult. He also has significant food allergies we can't get under control which create hair loss, dandruff, and further hygiene issues. Things have definitely become worse over this past year after we moved. We've tried many different brushes, kitty shampoos, leave in aka no rinse kitty shampoos... and nothing ever really works. My allergies combined with his excess hair loss, dander, and accumulated house dust from lack of cleaning himself has created a situation where I can no longer even pet him and he has all but given up on even trying to clean himself. This has taken a toll on both of us and I can tell he's becoming depressed. I bought these gloves on Monday in a desperate attempt to get the hair under control and be able to pet him. Thursday afternoon they showed up and I immediately grabbed Baxter to start testing them out. This boy was in heaven!!! Soooo much hair started coming off! I was covered but it's ok because my boy was happy and I could see his coat getting cleaner and healthier with every pet. I knew I had to do a review so I grabbed my gear, set it up, and sat down to start again. He was so excited he walked over to me for more. We sat there for 20-30 minutes, him just purring away and loving it, while I was getting a ton of hair and dander off him. Things I like about the gloves: - they really do work!! soooo much hair comes off - I was able to loosen up some matted areas I had never been able to before - my cat enjoyed every second of it and the happiness lasted, he's still on cloud 9 - I noticed this was actually encouraging him to groom himself and he started to work with him to get the job done - the gloves are comfortable, stay on, and it's really easy to remove the hair - the gloves are also thick enough that if they try to nibble, bite, or a claw gets caught you don't feel it Things I don't like: - hair absolutely flies everywhere (though admittedly the company never said it wouldn't, so no false advertising and can't hold this against them) It was essential I vacuum and change after using these, but totally worth it. I had just vacuumed the day prior so this was literally all accumulated from Baxter. Wild!! He is so happy, I love to see it, and now I can safely pet my boy again. Can't recommend these enough. *ignore my other cat in the background, he was very jealous and not amused the door was shut*

These are amazing and well worth the money. Because they were a little more expensive and looked a little strange, I definitely thought my dog would shy away from them. She is a 78 lb Basset with a mind of her own. However she did not mind when I sat down beside her gently started to stroke her back. Immediately the hair started to fly off her. She allowed me to do her whole body including the ears which she does not like me to touch. This is a great investment and a good way to spend time with your dog.

I ordered these gloves in a large and got a small. On top of that I only received one glove and not two. I tried it out on the babies and they love it. It's just like petting them but it really does do well at collecting the hair and whatnot. I just have no clue why I got not only the wrong size, but only one glove (the left one) and not a pair.

I typically do not write reviews, but I had to on this. This just came in the mail, I bought it because I have a French Bulldog that has been shedding like crazy. I immediately used it on him as soon as I took it out of the packaging! Wow! The amount of fur that came off of him is insane. This product DEFINITELY works and is worth every dime.

Well, I got them on and they kept me clean and dry.. They kept me from being punctured by peeved felines, too.. HOWEVER, once you get them on - you may need another hand to get them off: you can't pinch the fingers of the gloves WITH the gloves. I had to rip free the velcro and tug it off from the wrist. OH, and I ordered LARGE - and it was tight as medium neprene gloves. They do work, though.

I have already recommended these gloves to friends. The ~$25 is so worth it for ease of use, results, quality, and probably most importantly - the joy (yes, joy) it gave our dogs. Grooming is 100 times easier when the dogs are not oooching and scooching to get away. I was looking for a replacement for the nubby rubber brush I used to use to bathe my Australian Heeler/Standard Poodle mix a few years ago. It used to slip off my hand, which was annoying and required gripping it tightly which made my hand and arm ache. I only add that info so you know I had a larger dog, hence longer time for hands to cramp. Spring forward to the German Shepherd and Siberian Husky we now have. Trying to thoroughly bathe them and really clean their coats was not only exhausting, but I was never convinced I was doing a good job getting down into their coats. I searched Amazon and found these gloves. Yes, they are more expensive than other brands. But I read the reviews and figured the $24.95 was far cheaper than the $100 area groomers charge to bathe a GSD. Also, two gloves meant I could wear one and enlist the help of my husband or daughter to wear the other one and assist. If our “washing arms” get tired we can trade off. We used the gloves the other day to brush the dogs. The gloves worked great. As others have said, the hair does not stay neat. Far from it. It flies everywhere. We were outside so that was not a problem. Next time I’ll make sure there is more of a breeze so the flying hair can fly away and not up under my glasses. 😁 We used a gentle touch because the nubs have a slight edge from the mold. It’s not necessary sharp, but the nubs were a bit stiff which I think will relax a bit with use. The dogs loved their “massages.” They had no idea they were being groomed. They were in the heaven of the palm-fanned, grape-fed Romans. Tonight we bathed the GSD. She was so relaxed that she actually sat down in the bathtub. 😁 and she didn’t whine! It was great. Even after the brushing the other day, there was a ton of hair in the bathtub, which was not surprising. Our Husky acted like she, too, wanted a “massage”(bath) after all the lovin’ her sister got. Even with the great service of these gloves, bathing the GSD pooped us right out! Maybe tomorrow. About sizing - Since the gloves have a Velcro strap on the back of the wrist, I ordered XL knowing I could cinch them in. I am really glad I ordered the XL. They are roomy, but not overly huge. And the Velcro strap holds tightly. They fit my husband well, too.
