Transparent Keyboard Sticker

This product was absolutely what I ordered. I wanted to be able to use the phonetic keyboard instead of the numeric. Luckily this was perfect. The only thing to look out for is that there are grooves on where the keys would be on, "F and J" on the numeric keyboard. Other thank that, absolutely perfect. Haven'y had to replace any yet and I use the keys for about 8 hours every day. I had these for almost a month now.

I finally found a keyboard I like. Backlit with soft touch keys, and the perfect feel. The problem was that within two weeks the letters on the keys were wearing off. I'm a touch typist but even so, sometimes you need to look down to see what you're doing or to reposition your hands. I loved the keyboard enough that I bought another one, but how could I protect the keys from rubbing off? I have used adhesive letters on a keyboard before, but in black. I liked them a lot. But I didn't want black key covers for fear it would cover up the back lighting, so I tried these transparent ones and so far, so good. It's been a couple of months now and still the keys are crisp and the colored lights behind the keyboard shine through just fine. They feel mostly ok, but I do find sometimes that have to reposition my fingers because it's not always flawless trying to find the home keys. I do wish they came with two sets like my black ones. But since I usually lose the second set anyway, I'll just wait until I need another set and order them again.

I bought the translucent stickers, however; this provably applies universally: when the letters were stamped, the machine cut through the paper too. I honestly don’t have the patience to try to peel the back off of the individual characters. I’m too old for that shit and I ordered a different set of stickers. The stickers themselves don’t adhere very well, and the surface is sort of matt such that it stops being transparent when viewed at an angle The stickers themselves are only translucent when viewed from above, if you’re at an angle they’re kind of white — maybe this is application user error — imagine a very soft, sort of rubbery, transparent plastic and how that turns opaque at an angle (like a old keyboard cover, or a fancy rain coat). My use case is poor vision and no touch type skills and these stickers are not going to work for me.

Worst keyboard stickers I have ever seen. See attached photo. Unfortunately, I waited until 2 days after the return window closed. I won't ever get my time back from having installed and inevitably also remove & cleanup the glue from these, but hopefully this review will keep others from making my mistake. I've used stickers before that were 1/4th the cost of these and actually looked transparent without glue smudges. These don't even have consistent lettering centering on top of the abomination of adhesive they went with. They also seemed to have went with a thicker material, but that is not desirable in this case, we want these stickers to look and feel seamless with the keyboard and not have a detectable edge.

Super easy to apply only thing is that on some keys you can tell I put a sticker on it
