I recently picked up a set of TWIPPO car electrical connectors, and they’ve been fantastic for my automotive wiring projects. Great little connectors. Easy to put together, easy to plug and unplug, and a great price. Really surprising the quality. That being said I wouldn’t use them for higher amp loads. Maybe about 15 amps.

I find this a very cost effective way to establish non critical connections. I cannot attest to its water proof nature or if it really can handle ten amps of current across those small contacts. However I believe it to be a cost effective solution for many applications. There are no directions that come with this kit. It is pretty intuitive with the possible exception of the little red inserts. I questioned the vendor and he sent me some guidance that was pretty good. Once I realized that the red insert went into the connector half that did not already have one, it was pretty strait forward from there. It struggles to accommodate large diameter wires (18 Ga with what I would consider standard insulation) as it becomes difficult to get the water seal properly retained and crimped. Proper orientation of the locking tangs was another question. However you can look down the barrel of the connector and see the retaining lock so that is not an issue. Just line the retaining tangs up with the retaining locks and you are all set. All of these things are relatively minor however the fact that you cannot remove the pin once it is locked in may be an issue for some. I was all set to use my razzle dazzle ratchet crimpers on these connections when I discovered that even though they had a "B" crimp die set, the jaws were too wide. A standard "B" crimp tool works great but you may need to crimp it twice to get it tight. One added plus - I grabbed a sensor cable from a 2006 Chevrolet because it looked like a direct fit. After mating it to one of these connectors I was able to measure continuity through the pair.

Easy to use works good and looks professional

Works great clips are solid once crimped. Make sure you get a proper crimping tool.

BUT, Do yourself a HUGE favor and buy the proper crimping tool. Don't tell yourself you can do it with pliers. I just ordered the tool after spending 30 minutes of trying to get strong, proper crimps with standard pliers and linesman pliers. NOPE. get the tool. save your self a headache. Well... even with the tool its still a major PITA. crimps looked good, but were not very strong... the first 3 i did turned out good, then the pins wouldn't lock into the plastic receptacles... would not recommend.

Great for projects

Used to wire up some fog lights. Nice to be able to get a cleaner install. Working with thicker gauge wire isn't the easiest but that's my problem. There is a world of difference compared to some of the connectors on cheap harnesses I have received with things in the past

These connectors are nice and well made, but I would recommend buying the proper, matching crimping tool. I used my existing tool with crimping plates that appeared to match those recommended, but struggled to crimp properly. I wasted a lot of end pieces because of having to redo crimps. I used silicon to seal up the wire holes because I wasn't confident that the rubber gaskets would completely seal and I was using them on outdoor decorations. The connectors snap nicely together with a rubber seal.

Awesome little connector. I used to replace a few missing connectors on my car and they've been great so far, easy to remove and seems to keep the weather out. Good budget connector

As expected. Made a connector for a 12V socket on a motorcycle.

Literally life saver for me! My headlight stopped working one night, then I brought it to the nearest auto repair shop. They quoted me at least 200 CAD for one and a half hour labour. I was very skeptical, but without the help of this cable splicing kit, I won't have the means to do. The kit made it so easy and quick for me to restore my headlight, which could have caused me more.
