Excellent Quality Barley – Clean, Fresh
I’ve been really impressed with the quality of the Whole Seeds & Feeds Non-GMO Barley. The grains arrived clean, fresh, and with very minimal dust or debris — exactly what I was hoping for. It’s obvious that care was taken in the packaging and handling. I use it mainly as feed for my chickens and sprouting for fodder, and they absolutely love it. The germination rate has been excellent when soaked, and I love knowing it's non-GMO and natural — a much healthier option for my animals. It’s hard to find reliable, good-quality barley at a fair price, but this product really delivers. I’ll definitely be purchasing again!

Pleased to say that the product is meeting my expectations
As I said I would I am adding to my initial review after I soaked the barely in water. I am very pleased to say that they sprouted at nearly 100%. I just tossed some to my girls (chickens) and they loved them. After my first concerns the product has proved itself to be worth purchasing. The only down side would have been if I had needed to return the product. The company accepts returns but the buyer must pay shipping for a 50 pound bag. Ouch! Claudia

Do not buy
Would not recommend. It is very dusty, has corn and other seed products mixed with it. For the price of this item you should be getting top quality. It is very poor quality. Not good for sprouting or fodder

Great Product!
Bought for fodder to feed our chickens. Barley was clean and virtually all have sprouted, I gave 5 stars for the taste...I'm not sure what barley sprouts are supposed to taste like, (the grass tasted a little bitter. Yes, I tasted them) but the chickens LOVE the sprouts and 4' plants!

The ducks are happy with it
The sometimes picky Muscovy and his adopted flock of 12 mottled ducks were eating the grain mixed with oatmeal from the first feeding. The feeding bins are getting picked clean. This is feed grain as there is a tiny bit of corn, other stray grains and straw in the mix easily picked out.
