I have been using these for these pruning shears for about nine months. I really appreciate the power that they have to cut through larger branches as well as smaller ones. Using them for pruning to deadheading flowers.I have used them this winter for all of my fruit tree pruning as well as my shrubs. They seem to be very good quality. I have been able to use these for extended periods of time even with the arthritis in my hands. The shape of the handle makes them easier to use. The lock mechanism has worked well for keeping them closed and allows for them to take up a smaller space in my tool drawer. I have not had to sharpen them yet but feel that they will be pretty easy to sharpen.

Sharp, easy to grip, and with multiple pumps you can get through a half inch branch!

I wanted to use it for a while before providing a review. Overall I like it. Its very light and cuts well. It has a double cut mechanism that works very well. I love how it fits in your hand and the close loop helps so you don't drop it. The lock mechanism isn't the best but workable.

These are very sharp. Use them only occasionally for special projects,but seem to be holding up to use. Fit hands nicely and seem like quality cutters. lightweight. Good grip.

Excellent effortless cutting. I like the enclosed handle because it eliminates the need to constantly adjust the position of the tool for multiple cuts. Plus, this is a very sharp tool making all cuts easy.

I am a large woman taller than average but not super tall and my hands are not small my fingers are quite long. These trimmers do not open the blade wide enough to cut a good thick stem. They may work better for tea roses but you do have to open your grip so wide that you are almost about to drop the grips to get it on the stem. That makes your hand shaky and sloppy while cutting because you are awkwardly balancing the grips to get them around the stem. That does not make for enjoyable gardening. Now if you are a very large man (built like a football player) your hands might easily widen enough. Think Brian Shaw or Eddie Hall. Pass on this one ladies unless you are a big and tall gal with great hands. They're metal and seem decent. Just poor design for the average person. Fantastic for pro athlete types and bodybuilders that need bigger stuff. As far as quality.....I don't trust it. It's hard to say but it didn't seem to cut very well. Now that can be remedied by sharpening the blade but that is a skill I do not have. Could be great needs rework on the design and sharper blades. I loved the rings around the grip. that was useful in keeping large thorny branches away from my rose gloves as an added protection.

I really like these pruners. They are easy on my arthritic hand and they are quite sharp. I like the ratchet feature. It easily cuts through branches 3/4" thick. I have not tried a 1" branch as advertized. The only reason I did not rate it higher is because of the qualitiy of the product. While they are very sharp, the product feels flimsy, as if it will not last in the long term. Time will tell.

Really very excellent pair of pruning shears, especially for those of us with arthritis in our hands. I cleaned up a tangled mess in my backyard without a single thing of pain and I didn’t have to use a drop of oil.

Bought as a gift: doesn’t look giftable. It’s light and looks cheap with a Very poor finish and has Chinese script on the label. Unless the Germans have changed their script, I doubt that it’s from Germany!
