Excellent boiling pot!
I had to replace my old aluminum boiling pot after many years fo faithful service. I decided to go with stainless this time, as I find myself boiling outdoors in sub-freezing temps here in MN. Aluminum just transfers too much heat, and I'm hoping to get a more consistent (and lasting) temperature with this one. Build quality is very nice, and I don't have any doubts that it will work well and last for a long time! Only thing I will miss about my old aluminum pot is that it had a drain spout. This one doesn't, but I may consider adding one at a later time if I find I miss it too much. Quality, finish, and durability are all 5/5 stars on this one!

Finally, a pan big enough to feed the entire crew
I usually host a New England style clam boil for my family once or twice a year. For the last 20 years, I've been struggling to fit enough food in my old 28 qt aluminum turkey fryer pot to feed 10 guests or so. (BTW, A boil consists of whole onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, hot dogs, Portuguese sausage, breakfast sausage and soft shell clams. Sometimes corn and/or bagged fish as well) This year, I got fed up with the thought of trying to make do with the old , beat up turkey pan again and put my cheapskate self on notice. After a short search, I ordered this 42 qt set up from Amazon at 9 in the evening . As promised, Amazon delivered the next AM in plenty of time to cook. For comparison purposes, the internal basket has a little more volume than the old pan. It will easily hold a boil for 12 and likely 16-20 if I left the basket out. ( 42 quarts is a good 35% larger than the old pot by my math.) The basket makes getting everything out at the end a breeze and also keeps everything a 1/2" off the bottom so nothing burns. The pan and basket seem very well made with decent grade/thickness stainless steel. I'm betting it will easily last the rest of my life. Also, I think the size is "goldilocks right". . It's big enough to hold enough to feed a crowd but not so much that it won't fit on a counter or single stove burner. he pan can also be carried by one person even when it's full of food. Anyway, first use was tonight and I have to say, I love this pot!

feeds “a lot” of people
Its a really large really heavy duty pot... really I dont know what I was thinking. This pot will excel in a condition you need a massive pot so I give it full stars. There was a little burning at bottom of pot from high heat of frying but thicker bottom is not likely needed as the metal is already pretty thick for a pot its size. After reviewing I wasnt sure about it but this is a thick gauge pot... just ask my toe. This pot should last me a lifetime of use. It is so big I would not advise for using for most people so be sure to know your intended application. I bought it to cook a 22lb turkey but that is probably not the best application for frying but it did do the job and well. I just needed a longer thermometer so that I could read the temp not just off the top. It took more than a big jug of oil so my advice there is to get to costko in like Sept not Nov and buy up 2 things of high temp oil at $16/ea instead of really expensive peanut oil at $33 from wallyworld. Since you cook only at 350deg you dont need a special oil. All in all Im really happy with purchase- I just think I probably should have gone with their 32 or similar quart. In retrospect it would have been easier to cook 2 smaller turkeys back to back than 1 big one.

Good pot
Use as a secondary pot for crawfish boils. Doesn’t get used a whole lot but works well when I do use it. Has held up to a single jet burner just fine so far. It is a little thinner than I was expecting so if you’re going to used it if high heat burners a lot I’d watch it real close Edit: pot rusted through after about a dozen uses over the span of a year or so. It was always thoroughly washed and dried before put away. I did use it on a jet burner and that is where the hole formed. So don’t use it on a jet burner and you should be fine. Rating stays the same.

Multipurpose
I had this for awhile. For the money it’s a great little cooking pot. I used it to make all grain home Brew and had a few seafood boils and deep fry’s. It is high quality. I did leave it out over the winter and the bottle blew out from the ice. However, I’ll be buying another to replace it!
