I absolutely love this kettle. It sits on my counter top and looks like a beautiful piece of art. I use it mostly for tea and my decaf coffee. It heats up quickly and has a large capacity when making hot beverages for company. The outside does get hot, so be careful. It’s not a problem as the handle doesn’t heat up. Great electric tea kettle.

This kettle is so beautiful; it makes this Art Deco lover happy just to see it sitting on my counter. It also works like a charm for my needs. The water heats up very quickly, and it keeps it hot enough to brew a second or third cup of tea or coffee quite a while after the first. While on vacation, both houses we rented in different areas of my state had a version of one of these tea kettles. I did notice that the two I used did not have a separate metal conduction unit inside the body, so they were a bit easier to wipe clean (use a soft cloth!). Although this one does have a small conduction rod inside, it's beauty more than makes up for the slight inconvenience of wiping the inside dry. It's important to read the short instruction manual before using. It tells you clearly to boil the inside twice with DISTILLED WATER before first use. [Note: A gallon of distilled water should never cost you more than $1.98 or less. There is some kind of pharmaceutically approved distilled water that sells for 40 times that price (!) for cleaning CPAP masks. I do not know what the difference is between regular distilled water for steamer irons and pharmaceutically approved distilled water because all distilled water has all the minerals removed. I suspect it may be some kind of profit making scam scaring ppl into buying breathtakingly expensive distilled water. but you'd need to check with your pulmonologist about that.] Be sure if you are in an area that has hard water that you take care to manage the mineral build up. There are easy-to-follow instructions in the user manual about how to manage mineral build-up in your kettle. It's really easy to do. I know, I live in an area with very hard water. Honestly, I am a bit giddy about this adorable kettle. It brings me moments of joy just to look at it and use it.

I love the looks and color, that is what made me order this over other options. It heats up a full pot quickly. I love that the lid sits on tight, so that it won't fall off when you pour. I have arthritis and other issues and didn't have any problems getting lid off. I don't mind that the lid is plastic. It is the same type of lid as coffee carafe's use. I fill the pot, start it up and within minutes I have hot water for tea or cocoa. It is easier than using microwave and coffee cup handles stay cool. I have had times I had some tea, then went back for more about an hour and a half and the temp had only gone down to 140. I turned it on for a couple minutes to get it to 180 so that it was at perfect sipping temperature. So although it would be nice to have a "keep warm" function, I don't think it is necessary. The only issues I have with it is that the handle seems a bit flimsy for the pot. When I pick it up at full, the handle creaks a tiny bit and feels like it might give out or crack someday, but that is just what it feels like, not that it will happen. Also, the cord is very short. I have to keep it right next to the outlet and would prefer to move it to the corner of counter, but the plug won't reach. Otherwise, it is a cute, useful, electric water kettle.

Love this kettle! It heats up more quickly than a kettle on the stove. The temperature gauge allows you to see what temp the water is. There is also a gauge to see how much water is in the kettle. The automatic turnoff is a great idea. Looks great on my counter!

How I have existed without an electric kettle is beyond me. I've always used a stovetop whistling kettle. But this is next level. No whistling, but it has an automatic shutoff feature so there's no boil over...and trust me, I've made my fair share of those lol Highly recommend for anyone to buy this! It's also adorable lol

This product should NOT be on the UK website. It has a US plug and I had a nightmare with the seller and Amazon. Finally I got an adaptor for the UK as instructed by Amazon. The kettle went BANG and tripped the circuit with a very nasty burning smell. An electrician advised me that it is 120 volts which means it CANNOT be used in the UK and could have caused a fire. DO NOT BUY if you live in the UK.
