I have a large collection of Craftsman cordless tools and have used NiCad and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries and still do. I recently had to replace my well used and burnt out 5 1/2" circular saw and upgraded to the 6" Craftsman. I got a small Lithium Ion battery with a charger at the same time. I got this 4 amp battery because I have learned that higher amperage batteries are critical to having the circular saw do the kind of cutting that I want to do. It is the most powerful battery in my collection and allows the saw to run better and longer and be more useful. It does this better than the older technologies because it does not lose power after charging which is important because typically I use the tools a lot at once and then maybe not again for several weeks. Having the charge level indicators is helpful in planning the work even though I have spare batteries.

I have many of the 19.2 volt Craftsman tools. A couple of years ago I purchased a lithium battery charger and battery. They are much more dependable than the nicad packs that I had been using. The only drawback was the high cost. Around $90 for each battery. The first one failed shortly after a year, but gave good service up to that time. I had been looking for quite some time for another supplier and I can say that I am very glad that I found this one. It is a solid construction and seems to be as good or better than the OEM battery. When I received it the indicator on the battery showed 3/4 full. I placed it in the charger and charged to full. I used it on and off for about 2 hours on a project and it still showed four bars or full. I hope it holds up. Very pleased so far. Received quicker than promised. Update: I have been using now for 5 months and it is still doing a great job. The battery I purchased was the 19.2 Lithium for Craftsman. I noticed this is linked to a different battery now.

Although the batteries were a tight fit in my Porter Cable brand cordless tools, they did the job I got them for. They really brought my cordless grinder to life.

So far I have used it through two charge cycles and so far so good. The first time I charged it it threw the defective battery light, but the indicator on the battery said it was fully charged. So I continued to use it as normal then the next time I charged it, it charged fine. I'm hoping it was just a fluke but time will tell. I will be ordering more in the near future. They have brought life back to my old crapsmen cordless tools. Plus they are lighter than the old ni-cad batteries. One thing to note is that the old chargers are not duel chemistry chargers, so I had to buy a new drill set to get the charger because it was only a few dollars more to get the set than just a charger.

Looks Perfect!!! Doesn't work! Got the battery, charged it, and it doesn't work. Says it is fully charged but will not operate any of my tools! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I bought 2 of them, they worked great for a few months and maybe 5 charge cycles then one of them died. While they were working my impact and drill had more power than they ever had on the standard batteries. Plus the capacity is about 25% more even though these are noticeably lighter and that makes working easier too. I am using them with this charger: FLAGPOWER Li-ion & Ni-cad Battery Charger 9.6V MAX and 19.2V MAX For Craftsman C3

I bought this because it seemed very reasonably priced, but that turned out to be slightly misleading.. Unfortunately this battery does not fit the standard chargers, so now I will have to spend much more for an additional charger. Can't really speak to its quality without being able to charge it

I was a little skeptical buying a non-OEM brand battery. I must say though, this battery exceeded my expectations. I received it with 75% charge (3/4 power level). I finished fully charging it. I have a C3 cordless chainsaw, I figured this would be a true test to the capacity of the battery since they draw quite a bit of power. I was able to cut 12+ logs that were 6-8" in diameter easily, and a handful of small limbs that were about 2" in diameter, and still had between 50-75% battery remaining. While I haven't had the battery long enough to truly test long term durability, so far I'm impressed!
