These drapes do block out the light outside my bedroom window and the afternoon heat. That was my goal. They have a sheen I did not expect, but I am pleased with my purchase, especially considering the price.

We love our new, block out light curtains! The fabric is light weight and has a nice drape. The color we chose matches the accent color in our summer cabin. We were surprised how well it blocks the outdoor security lights and bright sunlight . I would recommend them to anyone who wants to block out light when they go to bed! They aren't heavy and bulky like I expected. A pleasant surprise!

For the price these curtains are great. Used them in the remodel of the children’s bedroom. They keep out the light so the 3 yr old twins can nap during the daylight.
