The AKASO EK7000 is a very compact camera, but the image and video quality are impressive. Both still photos and 4K video look great, especially for the size and price. It’s easy to use and comes with a nice set of accessories, which makes setup simple right out of the box. I bought it mainly for snorkeling, and it has worked perfectly—the waterproof housing feels solid and the underwater footage is clear and vibrant. Overall, this is a great value action camera with good quality, portability, and ease of use. Highly recommend.

Great little camera. Picture quality is very good. I used it mounted on my RC cars and it does very well. Great quality for the price.

Purchased this for a cruise and it was great. I was able to utilize several of the accessories that came with it, although I missed out on snorkeling; no fault of the camera, very high winds had the beach closed. Got some great footage and looking forward to a convention next month where it will get much more use.

UPDATE: Watch out for the waterproof case. Bit of a mixed bag here. The waterproof case failed for me the first time I tried it in more than 1 foot of water. I took it for my snorkeling trip and at 8 feet it started leaking badly around the lens cover. This was very disappointing for two reasons - first, I did not get to do any video of my snorkeling, and second, the camera was exposed to sea water and I could not get it back to the boat for almost 10 minutes. That's where it gets mixed. The waterproof case is clearly defective, and I have seen this comment several times from others, so PLEASE, test in deeper water before you put your camera in it. Having said that, pulling the battery and letting the camera air out seemed to bring it right back to life. That is one tough camera and battery. both still work after being exposed to sea water for more than 10 minutes. See the original review below for my feelings about the camera overall. I have taken away a star because of the case. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I will keep this updated as I use it further, but wanted to provide some initial feedback here. I got it in preparation for a cruise this spring and some summer trips, and I really look forward to testing it out further. I read a lot of comments about how unclear the functionality was, but I have to say that it was rather intuitive for me. If you have used digital cameras before, this is not a lot different, with a selection that shows a wrench for the settings menu, and buttons that work through the list of menu items. The video at 1080/60 frames/sec was great and the 4K at 25 frames is really crisp. Nice optics for a small camera. The accessories are a pleasant surprise. Usually, you get a mixed bag of sort of useful items, but not really anything to get excited about. These are well made and a nice collection to get you started with a lot of mounting options. Of special note to me was the fact that it comes with 2 batteries, plus a charger separate from the camera. As a person who struggles with red/green colorblindness, I was especially pleased to see the charging light on the charging station turns blue after the charge is complete. It's the first time the LED charging display has been easy for me. The remote is a real nice bonus too. It makes starting and stopping a simple process without having to blindly fumble with buttons on the camera if it is on your head, for instance. Along the same lines, the iSmart DV app was easy to set up and connect with. You have to be close to the camera for it to work well, but it provides a larger view of the video, and gives you another way to control the camera remotely. Cons: 1.The date resets every time you change the battery, or the battery dies. This is an irritation, since the camera seems to be able to remember what other setting changes you make. For the price, not a big deal. 2. The permanent wide angle setting does make non-action images a little odd, but the camera clearly states that, so not a surprise. Again, this is a camera meant for action at a price that you can't really beat. Pros: 1. Love the ability to set different video and photo recording options, as well as the time lapse option. 2. Remote control is really easy to use and invaluable. 3. Not listed as an accessory, but really nice to have was the charging station. 4. The iSmart DV app was easy to set up and it did a good job of connecting to the camera, but you have to have the phone or iPad close to the camera to use it. Overall, this has been my best buy of the new year. I love it.

The waterproof case works great for swimming and outdoor activities, and the camera feels sturdy and well-built. I love that it comes with tons of accessories and an extra battery—amazing value right out of the box. Battery life is solid, and the Wi-Fi app makes transferring videos quick and simple. Perfect choice if you want a reliable action camera without spending a fortune. Highly recommend!

Happy with the camera so far. Compact size and lightweight makes it easy to handle and clip on using the various mounts. I've used it primarily outside. Definitely an excellent value for an action cam of this quality!

I already have a dash camera in my car but some time dash camera is not enough to capture the beautiful scenery around. Esta cámara viene muy completa, incluye varios montajes diversos y 2 baterías. Considero es un producto equilibrado ya que a un precio competitivo se ofrece una calidad de grabación adecuada (4k a 25fps o 1080 a 60fps). Mi recomendación es usar la calidad de 1080 para no perder frames por segundo, como sea se ve bien así para la mayoría de propósitos. El tamaño de la cámara es muy conveniente al ser el mismo que otras de mayor prestigio, por lo tanto no batallarás en encontrar accesorios.
