Great knife set for the money. Nice and sharp, good weight. Couldn't use the scancode nor the website to register them for the free yearly sharpening though.

This is a wonderful set with the self sharpening block for storage and keeps them sharp when you need to sharpen them all built into the block super handy..This set looks great and performs very well.

These are fantastic and look great. Only negative I’ve seen it stains left on the knifes. Otherwise I highly recommend

2 YEAR UPDATE: summary: RUN FROM THESE KNIVES. Not because they're sharp or dangerous in any way. Knives suck and service sucks. I never got the replacement set from the factory and these are crap. Actually, you could probably get a literal piece of crap to hold a better edge with a little bit of work. Despite multiple waste-of-time calls to offshore call centers, unanswered emails, Facebook interactions, and Amazon seller messaging I have yet to speak to a single helpful person. The knives are all showing spots of rust/discoloration (no, they've never seen a dishwasher, and are hand washed and towel dried right after use). I'm pretty sure the "self-sharpening" inserts in the block are meant to meticulously grind off any actual cutting edge. I've recently had the non-serrated knives professionally reprofiled to 17 degrees a side (the only info the call center guy could find). It cut fine until the first time I reinserted it into the storage block. Now? Back to movie-prop sharp. Original review: I received knives with almost zero usable cutting edge. All the non-serrated blades were completely without an edge. Seriously, I'm not sure these could have been any less sharp without intentional effort. My serrated knives in the set each have such bad burrs that they're better used as tiny little horror movie props. I understand that these are not Bently-level high end knives, but c'mon. At least *pretend* to have a QC process. I've got Fisher Price playset knives with better grinds...I called the Zwilling cust svc number and they're purportedly sending me a replacement set. As an aside, the rep did not know what angle the factory sharpens its knives to. Will update when I get the replacements.

I didn't realize how dull our old knives were. Very nice to have sharp knives. I bought a stone and sharpened knives a couple times but stopped doing it. Hopefully the built-in sharpener will keep them sharp. Only had them for a month, so I'm not sure if the sharpening feature is working yet.

Fantastic knives. Id it's good enough for Gordon Ramsey, it's good enough for me.

I bought this knife set to replace an 8 yr old cheap Farberware knife set that worked great for many years and I thought it was time for an upgrade. Things I like: 1) knives are sharp and work as intended 2) self sharpening aspect 3) Looks aesthetically pleasing in the block from afar Things I don’t like: 1) block is unnecessarily bulky 2) I really dislike the black plastic handles. They were scuffed up right out of the box and would definitely not hold up to anything when washing besides a cotton washcloth 3) the knives in the block that aren’t self sharpening are super loose in their respective slots and not form fitting at all Overall, I don’t think the quality matches the price tag. However, if you don’t care about anything besides if the knives do work, then you might not care. A little bit disappointed. I wish Henckels was on par with their parent company, Zwilling.

These knives are excellent. Delivery was on time and item is as described. Super sharp and dishwasher safe.

Been using for several weeks now and am quite happy but be aware , not all the slots are self sharpening
