The Award in Education and Training (Further Education and Skills) Review: I completed the course, used this a lot. The go to bible for this qualification. Review: So glad I bought this as it’s made completing my Lev 3 AET much more straight forward. All the info you need is contained within this book with recommended reading lists for those that wish to delve further. This is a must buy for those developing themselves as trainers or wishing to gain a formal qualification to teach 16 year olds and up. Particularly well suited to vocational teaching in my opinion. Allows you to teach others in areas you are formally qualified in or have significant vocational experience in. (FYI check your subject area. Some academic subjects will require you to have qualified to at least one level above what you are teaching at or hold a degree.)

I’ve also got the book on Assessing Vocational Achievement by the same author. Both are good books with all of the essential information, however I find that the relevant information seems easier to find with the other book. I can’t fault this book for the quality or quantity of information.
