We purchased this to stabilize a cheap cargo basket on the back of our motorhome’s hitch receiver, for a trip from Virginia to Alaska and back over one month. Without the stabilizer, the cargo basket flopped around. With the stabilizer, it was very secure and didn’t move at all. We used in an all sorts of conditions. It came into contact with all sorts of weather, dust, gravel, and the occasional vehicle power washing. Still looks like new and works great. Highly recommend.

Product arrived quickly and is exactly what it looks like in the picture. I used it for a hitch mounted bike rack and it worked perfectly, eliminated any movement at the hitch. The materials are of good quality with stainless steel and brass for extra corrosion protection. One caution is to not over-tighten as that could lead to stripping of the treads. You'll feel it bottoming out once the spring washers are completely flat. I also turned the U-clamp upside down since I have a Toyota Sienna and the hitch received height is quite low. Doing this maximizes ground clearance and prevents unwanted contact between the tightener and pavement when going up driveways.
