Received these coasters yesterday and they look great. Just as I hoped they would. I tried one last night with an iced drink and when I looked at coaster this morning (7 hours after drink removed from coaster), what I saw is photo on left. I used a couple drops of water to see how coaster would clean a small section of the ring. The photo on right is after an hour of dry time. Bottom line? These coasters look really great but am not thrilled about having to scrub them down after using for iced drinks.

I just bought me a new coffee table and I realized I had nothing to protect it from the dreaded condensation. I knew I wanted coasters but no ordinary coasters would do. I imagined up a small thin slab of slate sitting on my coffee table to give it the much needed protection. To Amazon I went! I found these and immediately put in my order. Upon receiving my coasters I had low expectations, not giving up my hopes and assuming I would receive some plastic slate fraud! I was very excited to see small pieces of stone fall from the edge of one of my coasters, revealing the true nature of its being. REAL SLATE! That being said, maybe not great for homes with animals or kids. And it wouldn't be an honest review if I didn't mention that a couple coasters had clearly fractured and was glued back together. Its unmistakably obvious on 1 or more of my pieces there was a serious repair that took place. Overall I am pleased and would buy again but seeing as these are stone, I expect that they will last a while

These were aesthetically what I was looking for. And I guess I should’ve realized that they Don’t have a cork or softer type of underside. To which, wherever the rock wasn’t smooth it was scratching our dinning room table. Along with that whatever sweating cup was on them would leave ring stains on the rock and it won’t come off. My son went to lift one up to put it back and the sharp edges carved a decent chunk out of our table. It was not a smart move for coasters for a wooden table at all. It’s very damaging and not as aesthetically pleasing as I would’ve hoped. Instead it’s more stress causing than anything because my 2k+ dining set is now ruined.

These coasters look trendy and nice however the performance is not so great. The moisture from the glasses just runs right off coaster onto surface trying to protect. They also leave cup stains. May have better luck with another selection of performance is important.

We got these coasters right away w/Amazon Prime. We knew we’d love them because my uncle has the square ones. The material feels nice and it soaks up condensation the way it should. The little things on the bottom keep my wooden desk free from scratches and it’s nice to have a fashionable caddy to keep them in.

I saw these at a bar in South Dakota. Loved the simplicity of them. Looked at all the rock stores in the Black Hills & couldn't find them anywhere. Imagine that - Amazon, inexpensive, easy peasy. They were here when we got back. Replaced all our other coasters in the house.

Product came with broken ball feet on the original and replacement orders.
