My kids know their shapes, how many sides, colors and primary colors, etc. The animation is still a bit cringe worthy, but the music in this one is catchy and I don't mind hearing it. We use it a couple times a week as a homeschool tool and my kids are advanced because of it. How many 6 year olds know what a nonagon is and how many sides it has? I didn't learn that until I was in a much older grade. Review: Learning Colors, Shapes and Counting in a fun and entertaining way - My son loves listening to Rock N Learn Colors Shapes and Counting. The characters are fun and keep his attention. The rhymes are catchy and he is starting to recognize the colors and shapes. He's not quite ready for counting, but he loves listening along. I'm not usually a fan of DVDs, but my son loves the music and it keeps him entertained when I need to clean up around the house. He loves the songs and looking at the bright colors and pictures. He also loves the Colors, Shapes and Counting board book.

2 year old likes it
I got this DVD because my two year old is learning to speak and i wanted something for our car that he could enjoy while running errands. My son loves it. It keeps him busy and hes learning at the same time. I catch myself singing the songs because they are catchy like "what color is it?" Some of the characters are annoying but it keeps my son busy and tired mommy happy

Catchy Phrases
I purchased this educational video for my 3 year old daughter to watch while I am teleworking. I would rather her brain be stimulated with ABCs, shapes, and counting 1-20 than watching pointless Barbie videos with no educational value. The voices of the characters are somewhat annoying but catchy after listening over and over again. We do supplemental learning activities in workbooks and cut/paste when I get a break from Teams meetings, day to day tasks and emails. For the price of the video of about 45 minutes, it is worth it. I highly recommend.

It's a Hit!!
My 2-year old son loves it! It is entertaining education for him. He has been watching the series from "My Baby Can Read" since he turned a year old. Nothing could take their place until I bought the Rock'N Learn Colors, Shapes & Counting. I even learned a couple of things. What I like about it most is that their presentation of each concept builds on the previously introduced concept. There is also good repetition - not the kind that can drive you batty. Another thing I love about this DVD is how it transitions to the next concept and then brings everything presented together. I think this would be an awesome addition to every pre-schooler's dvd collection.

Very comprehensive. I initially found it slighrly annoying but my kids loved it and the songs grew on me to the point I find myself humming or singing them myself. It is now one of our favorite shows for teaching kids about colors, shapes, counting, and mixing colors. My sons have all enjoyed this show greatly and it is what taught my oldest two thier early math skills in a short period of time. It is probably our favorite of the rock and learn dvds.

It only holds my 2-yr old's attention for <10 mins
I bought this based on the great reviews. Maybe my son is still too young, but he wasn't really interested in the format. We have been working on shapes the "old school way", and he can already identify the main ones. We'll try playing the DVD again in another month, and see if it gets a better reception.

A favorite
I got this when my oldest was just over 2 and she enjoyed it immediately. Now, almost a year later, she still really enjoys it. It always makes her laugh when the crab pops up on the screen. She enjoys watching it and she loves singing along to it. Now, my one year old also loves it. This video is the only thing on tv that interests her. When she hears the music begin she squeals and makes her way towards the tv to dance and clap along. So cute. Glad to have educational videos that are so entertaining.

My 1 year old and two and a half year old boys love this dvd. They watch it at least 4 times a day, everyday. I have had to order a second one as my son will not wait for me to put on his dvd and has now put to many scratches on it. He still insists that i make his dvd work. My 2 year old went from not counting to counting to 20 in two weeks. He also knows his colours now and all the basic shapes including trapozoid. The fast pace dvd really keeps my boys attention unlike other dvds like spot the dog. Or even mr men

Great for kids. Fun and educational. Kids will learn and retain different shapes and colors that even many adults don't know well. Highly recommended. The only shortcoming with this newer version (compared to the very first release over 10 years ago) is that the newly added animated graphics show a side-way square as a diamond, a common mistake in many "shape" books and video. In the older graphic (which is included in this version but much later on in the video), they actually teach it correctly.

英会話を習っている3歳娘に。いろいろなリズムに乗って色や形を覚えられます。日本ではちょっとない感じで面白く娘もノリノリで口ずさんでいますw 十角形まであったのには驚きました。

OH MY GOODNESS, MY 2 YEAR OLD SON HAS FALLEN INLOVE WITH THIS DVD. IT KEEPS HIS ATTENTION FOR THE LONGEST WHILE. HE'S EVEN NAMING THE SHAPES COLOURS AND NUMBERS AS IT SHOWS. THE SONGS ARE VERY CATCHY THAT I EVEN FIND MYSELF SINGING ALONG TO THEM TOO. I'VE EVEN LEARNT ABOUT SHAPES THAT I NEVER KNEW EXISTED. I'M A VERY HAPPY MUMMY. I WOULD MORE THAN RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET THIS DVD. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
