A good first watch
I’ve been wanting to get into watches and after looking at many threads and reviews everything told me that a good first watch was a Casio. Through more research the A700W watch was a good one to start out with. The band is adjustable and feels very nice. It’s not too light and not too heavy. I wear it everywhere I go and so far there are no scratches or anything.

Stainless steel is awesome on the A700
The Stainless Steel version is a must have in this watch. Extremely slim, and very sleek looking. The band is very easy to set and so is the watch. Worth every penny.

A great retro looking watch
At 6mm thin, this is a more classy or dressy version of the A168. Super light - you scarcely feel it on your wrist because of the folded metal links (hollow). The case is chrome coated resin, so it will eventually wear through the coating and start to look bad, but for the price, I’ll buy a new one when that happens.

Fits well, keeps time well, looks pleasant.
Fantastic watch. Very simple in design without being mundane. Fits well, and doesn't frequently pull hairs as others may note. The band adjustments vary by approximately a quarter on an inch per link. The watch keeps time excellently and the glow display is bright and clear at night. Of course this is all my anecdotal evidence, but I find this to be a great purchase. My wrist is around 7 3/4 in around, it appears small but doesn't dissappear on the wrist.

The draw of the A700W is its low profile: a super slim 6mm you'll be hard pressed finding watches slimmer. It's so so slim and without heft it easily slides under sleeve collars; often I forget I'm wearing it. There's the legendary Casio value and durability. You can even change the battery out yourself when it dies in several years. The only gripe: its water resistance is 3 ATM, so it's not recommended for anything beyond splashes and rain though there are online reports of folks swimming with their's without problems.
