A better Rum...🌴 (Updated)
The media could not be loaded. If you are a fan of other coconut rums (e.g. Malibu) - Dead Man's Fingers is supremely better. The presentation of the bottle looks excellent in our cabinet (because let's be honest - people want a good looking drinks cabinet). The taste is smooth, and goes well with different mixers.Value for money is on par, and somewhat better - when you take into account the quality of the product versus other brands.(Update) Have since tried the Raspberry, Mango, Lime, Coffee and Spiced versions...are all on par with the quality and taste of the coconut 👌👌👌**Review Helpful? Banana's in Rum... IT WORKS!
This is the first Dead Man's Fingers drink I've had. There's quite a few flavours of Rum but the Banana one caught my eye and didn't think it could possibly be that good? You know how you see a product that's supposed to taste of a certain thing, but never does? I was expecting that.I opened the bottle and as you do, gave it bit of a sniff. The Banana hit me, then the rum. Having a drink, it's just as it says on the bottle. This is Banana Rum. After I've finished this, and that will take me a while because I only tend to have a shot of rum and whisky every day or two. Good for the blood stream. But when this has gone, I'll be trying another flavour. Watch this space.

Combining 2 of my favourite things in life
Gorgeous. Love rum and love coffee so why not have both flavours together. Tried in my local pub, drank over half the bottle by myself but managed to get others to try who loved it too... Hence buying my own bottle

Yuk ! Great if you love the taste of chemicals
Given all the rave reviews of this, I was expecting great things. It was also because Koko Kanu was out of stock, that I tried this. Let's just say that Koko Kanu will be expecting a few more orders off me.The smell of it is nice enough and smells coconutty as you expect. Now, I like my drinks mostly straight, occasionally with mixers. So, I poured a small amount in to a glass and sipped, expecting a lovely smooth taste of coconut goodness to wash over my tongue. What I got was a foul, chemical burning taste that was similar to drinking anti-freeze that someone had dropped a Bounty Bar into for about 0.5 seconds and then hastily pulled out. It wasn't a pleasant, gently warming effect, just a horrid, scorching, foul-tasting bleach-like affair.I truly don't know where this stuff got it's great reviews from, perhaps employees of the company have all signed up to Amazon? Or perhaps, if you pour enough mixers, like pineapple juice or mango juice in, it actually smothers the taste enough so all you get is the alcohol hit, I dunno? What I DO know, is I won't be buying this rubbish EVER again, and if you value your taste-buds, nor will you !

Smells delicious, tastes awful
Read a lot of reviews of this and watched videos of professional mixers discussing this rum - honestly was well excited to try it. The scent is lovely; it smells of lush and fresh ripe pineapples. Unfortunately the taste is massively dull.Neat, it tastes just like vodka (no, not even rum) with maybe a vague fruit undertone. It's incredibly harsh and I certainly wouldn't recommend it. With mixers the flavour is...better? Tried several (ginger ale, orange ginger beer, Madagascan cola etc), and it was lackluster. It added alcohol to a non-alcoholic soda; which you could do with Tesco value gin to be honest. However, it worked excellently with cucumber tonic, lime and mint in an improvised mojito. That was about the only time I found it enjoyable. I got it on offer but I wouldn't recommend spending your money on this unless it's at most £10. Buy another rum, it's rather rubbish.

Try with Dr Pepper!
The flavour was interesting, with my first taste I accidentally knocked it back and it hit me right a the back of the throat causing every drink after to taste like a chemical burn. But once I'd gotten over that and decided to drink it like a human and not a frat boy, it actually turned out to taste rather nice. The spiced rum part hits you first with subtle notes of coffee, nothing stronger than a latte mind you which at the time did leave me disappointed as I was hoping for it to be stronger. However I tried mixing it with Dr Pepper and to my surprise the coffee notes came out in full force, I don't know how or why but now my drink tastes like fizzy coffee with finer notes of rum. Needless to say, I like it a lot.

Not the best in the range I'm afraid
This one should have been the ideal combination for us - my wife and I love coffee flavoured sprits and have been through pretty much all the various coffee tequilas etc we can find to buy. We also like rum, and are quite partial to the original Dead Man's Fingers and a few of the other flavours. So in theory this should be absolutely ideal for us, but I'm afraid it's not quite worked out that way...It kicks off well with a fairly strong boozy coffee hit on the nose, but that just doesn't translate to taste unfortunately. To me it tastes a bit artificial and there's just not enough of that coffee hit there nor is there much going on in terms of spice with the underlying rum flavour. It just seems a bit bland and a bit of a missed opportunity. It's not bad - it mixes well enough as you'd expect but I really wanted to really love this drink and not just like it. Don't get me wrong, we still polished the bottle off pretty rapidly and did enjoy it but not as much as we hoped. I'll be sticking to other flavours of DMF and will get my coffee hit with the coffee tequila options instead.

So much more than the cool bottle
Surprisingly excellent. I thought this would be absolutely hideous (but like trying new off the radar stuff) but what a revelation; with Pepsi and ice a delightful soft comforting and layered delight; not the dreadful fake artificial banana catastrophe we expected. Fragrant, soft and enticingly delicate and honeyed over dark sugar with soft banana; sweet, tasty, interesting enough to provoke a reaction and a surprisingly well received session drink in the extended group. A great find and a genuinely decent quality product that reaches beyond that uber-trendy bottle. Genuinely a surprise staple of the bar. Recommended 👍
