Been an elixir guy forever. Maybe Elixirs are not THE best sounding string, but they are eminently playable and long lasting, and sound darn good considering the former. These though do sound better and are just as playable. If they last as long or nearly as long as the elixirs then these guys will have definitely threaded the needle. Expensive, but…meh…guitar addiction is still cheaper than drug addiction.

I absolutely love these strings. I have used Elixirs for over a decade now, and I never believed there would be a competitor in my mind. But then came the D'Addario XS strings. These strings keep their brightness longer than Elixirs in my opinion, with one exception: the high plain steel b and e strings get rusty relatively quickly and deaden much faster than the other strings. However, this is not to say that it majorly affects the sound, just something to be aware of. It affects the feel more than the sound, but it does still retain a fantastically bright and rich tone even after the high strings begin to deteriorate. These strings also have a little bit less of a breaking problem than Elixirs for me. I feel like I typically break the G string of my Elixirs after about a month and a half or so, but these strings will often last me 2-3 good months of regular heavy playing. I will most likely alternate between these strings and Elixirs with each string change, as they are equally excellent strings.

My grandson loves these strings however he was kind of bummed that this set didn't come with a sticker. Had the sticker been included we probably would have given them five stars 😁

One day I changed the strings on my taylor and it sounded terrible out of no where. Then after a little research, found out the stock guitar came with these exact ones. After installing these my Taylor sounded as good as new. Beautiful sound, great quality, and smooth to play. Started putting these on all my guitars and they all sing beautifully

I've tried these on three different guitars and I like the tone best on the mahogany back and sides.

I love these strings! They sound so beautiful to me, the crisp sound just doesn't seem to fade and I play hours daily. They're strong and I've only broken two strings in years, but that was my fault messing around with too many different tuning in such a short period of time, I also don't have the highest quality acoustic guitar with top of the line tuning pegs. Another nice bonus is the Player's Circle Points. They have a code on the packaging you enter into D'Addario's website and after a redeeming the codes on a few sets, you can can get free products. You still have to buy a bit before but I'm not going to turn down a free set of strings or a capo or whatever anytime soon. People complain about the price a lot but in my opinion they're worth it. A 3 pack lasted me over 6 months of daily use. Take from that what you will lol Shipped basically in record time as well.

Never used these strings until I purchased a guitar that came with them - now using them for both my other guitars too. Strings feel good and sound is bright. Love the sound. Finally found my strings.

This pick has a very nice grip on one corner. Does not slip. Very nice tone.
